    Abstract: An automated parking system for parking a vehicle within a parking slot includes a communication device and an automated parking device. The communication device includes a display that depicts a visual representation of the vehicle within the parking slot. The communication device also includes a human machine interface (HMI) that receives user input and, according to the user input, relocates the visual representation of the vehicle to a user selected location. The user selected location is transmitted and received by data busses of the automated parking device. The automated parking device has a sensor that determines the location of various sides of the parking slot in relation to the vehicle. The automated parking device further includes an electronic control module that determines a path from the vehicle to the user selected location. The electronic control module proceeds to autonomously maneuver the vehicle along the determined path.
