Abstract: The present application provides a garment that includes: a sleeve, a cuff, a retainer, and a sleeve lining attached at one end thereof at a proximal end of the sleeve, the sleeve lining extendible outward sufficient to cover at least a portion of a wearer's hand and retractable inward at a distal end of the sleeve; the retainer having a first end attached at the distal end of the sleeve to the sleeve and the sleeve lining, wherein the retainer is configured to limit at least the retractable inward movement of the sleeve lining; the cuff is located at the distal end of the sleeve lining and comprises a padding removably coupled to the cuff at a location proximate to the wearer's palm.

Abstract: The invention is directed to a pharmaceutical preparation with a modulatory effect on malignant tumors, which contains a combination of protease proenzymes and amylases in a ratio between 1:100 and 100:1 in enzymatic activity units, and a protease inhibitor. The invention is also directed to use of such a preparation to modulate the effects of malignant tumors in humans and animals.

Abstract: The claimed invention concerns concentrates of coagulation factors II, VII, IX and X and the method of their preparation by selective adsorption on an equilibrated carrier of hydroxyethylmethacrylate or hydroxyethylacrylate with bound diethylaminoethyl groups, followed by selective elution.The concentrates of coagulation factors II and X can be used to detect coagulation factor VII and in a laboratory method for the detection or determination of the extent of mammalian inflammatory diseases.

Abstract: Peptide ester and amide derivatives of the general formula I: ##STR1## in which X is H or an acyl, A and B are structurally defined amino acid residues, n is an integer of from 1 to 3, R.sup.1 is H or a lower alkyl and either R.sup.2 or C is a defined optionally modified amino acid residue and the other is a lower alkoxyl, an amino group or a direct chemical bond, are converted under physiologic conditions, by enzymic hydrolysis in pathologically altered tissues and subsequent spontaneous cyclization, into pharmacodynamically active spirocyclic peptide derivatives of the general formula III: ##STR2## in which R.sup.3 and R.sup.4 are H atoms, optionally substituted alkyl groups or jointly an aliphatic chain forming preferably a 2,5- piperazinedione ring, and hence can act as pro-farmaca (drug precursors) of prolonged biological effect.
