  • Patent number: 9989082
Abstract: A washer and fastener combination for use in building construction includes a fastener having a cylindrical shaft, with a threaded end defining one end and a head defining another end, and includes a plastic washer. The washer includes a bottom side and an upper side defining a solid outer surface, and an aperture extending through the washer. A cavity is formed in the upper side at the aperture that defines an opening in the upper side, with the opening defined by the cavity being larger than an opening defined by the aperture whereby the cavity includes a seat that is disposed about the aperture and is recessed from the upper side. The fastener further includes one of either a flange or a secondary washer at the head, with the shaft of the fastener configured for insertion into the aperture with the flange or secondary washer recessed within the cavity.

  • Patent number: 9631667
Abstract: A washer for use in building construction having an outer side having an upper surface defined by an upper wall, an underside opposite the outer side, and a perimeter. A central aperture extends from the outer side to the underside, with an alignment surface extending inwardly and downwardly relative to the central aperture with the alignment surface configured to be contacted by a nose stem of a fastener gun. A central chamfer is disposed at the central aperture and is configured to mate with the head of a fastener driven by the fastener gun. The upper surface of the outer side comprises a conical portion extending from the perimeter, with the alignment surface extending inwardly and downwardly to the central chamfer.

  • Patent number: 9309915
Abstract: A washer for use in building construction has an outer side having a solid upper surface defined by an upper wall, an underside opposite the outer side, and a perimeter, with an aperture extending from the outer side to the underside. The washer further includes an engagement portion configured to be at least one of a projection member or a receptacle in the outer side and located inward of the perimeter, with the projection member extending upward from the upper surface and the receptacle extending inward from the upper surface. The engagement portion is configured for mating with an adapter of a fastener gun for locating the fastener gun relative to the aperture. The washer can additionally include one or more prong members projecting from the underside and disposed radially inward from the perimeter.
