Abstract: Systems and methods include a kiosk that performs an electronic payment transaction based on instructions received from a portable device of a user. The system further includes a transmitting device electrically coupled to the kiosk. The transmitting device is configured to transmit a first signal to the portable device at a first direction. The system further includes a receiving device electrically coupled to the kiosk. The receiving device is configured to receive a second signal from the portable device at a second direction. The transmitting device and receiving device are positioned such that the first and second direction enable determination of a position of the user, where the processor enables the electronic payment transaction to be processed only when the portable device is at a location relative to the kiosk. The location is disposed within a transmission path coextensive with both the first direction and the second direction.

Abstract: A burner including a body having an air inlet at a first end and an outlet at a second end. A gas supply tube is disposed in the body and includes an air swirler and a nozzle at an end thereof. A plurality of outer gas spuds are disposed radially outwardly of the burner outlet, the outer gas spuds including a tube and a spud tip having a first set of openings that are directed generally parallel to an axis of the tube of the outer gas spuds and a second set of openings that are directed at an angle of at least ten degrees to the axis of the tube.

Abstract: A method and apparatus are provided for treating exhaust from a solid fuel combustion system such as a furnace or boiler and includes combusting a material in the combustion chamber and separating fly ash and char from a flue gas stream. The separated fly ash and char mixture is then separated further by separating smaller ash particles from larger char particles. The larger char particles are then reduced in size by a reducing device such as a grinder or crusher. Char particles that have been reduced in size by the grinder or crusher are then reinjected into the combustion chamber for re-burning.

Abstract: The present invention is a decking system that provides a height adjustable, sectional second floor in a semi-trailer for hauling freight. The system utilizes vertical tracks mounted on the inside of each side of the trailer. Each track on one side of the trailer is transversely aligned with a corresponding track on the opposite side of the trailer. E-bars are secured to and between opposed corresponding tracks for adjustable, vertical movement. Deck sections are mounted on the E-bars to support cargo. The deck sections may be positioned all at the same height or at different heights or may be inclined to form a ramp for loading or unloading cargo.
