    Abstract: Novel moldable, highly stable, normally solid polyoxymethylene resin compositions and molded articles formed of the same include a stabilizing effective amount of an alkoxy-substituted phenoxy-containing compound having the formula (I) or (II):Ar.sup.1 --O--X (I)Ar.sup.2 (--O--X).sub.s (II)where Ar.sup.1 represents an aryl group having no hydroxyl groups directly bonded thereto as a substituent, Ar.sup.2 represents a benzene or naphthalene ring having no hydroxyl groups directly bonded thereto as a substituent, and s represents the number of alkoxy-derivative substituents. Preferably, Ar.sup.1 in formula (I) is a phenyl, biphenyl or naphthyl group, and Ar.sup.2 in formula (II) is benzene (with s being 2). Ar.sup.1 and Ar.sup.2 in formulas (I) and (II) may only be substituted with the --OX group, or may also contain other alkoxy group substituents.
