  • Publication number: 20070091334
Abstract: A method of calculating correction data for correcting display characteristic includes generating test pattern data, displaying, based on the test pattern data, a test pattern on an image display device, obtaining capture data by capturing the test pattern, and calculating, based on the capture data, correction data for correcting display characteristic of the image display device. In this case, when the capture data does not normally constitute an entire image, correction data relating to an entire image relating to the test pattern data is calculated by setting the not-normally-constituting area as the area to be complemented and complementing the area to be complemented based on the area excluding the area to be complemented.

  • Patent number: 6781563
Abstract: A multi vision device including a projection device constituted by an array of a plurality of projection units each including a rear projection projector and a housing to support the rear projection projector; and a screen located away from the projection device and displays pictures projected from the projection device. Pictures projected from the adjoining projection units overlap on the screen and are configured to form one picture on the screen. In this manner, highly accurate projected pictures are obtained with no borders between the pictures adjacent to each other. The height and width of the pictures projected onto the screen are greater than the height and width on the side of the projection device that faces the screen.

  • Patent number: 6771307
Abstract: In an image calibration device 10, a calibration pattern is projected onto a screen 4 from each projector 3 under control of a personal computer or other calibration device 10a, pictures are taken by a digital camera or other image pick-up device 11, and the results are supplied to the calibration device 10a. The calibration device 10a uses the supplied picture data to calculate parameters in order to perform picture positioning, color adjustment, brightness adjustment and other adjustments and corrections, and based on the calculation results transforms the original picture data, generates and supplies signals indicating projection conditions to each of the projectors 3, and performs image calibration control of the pictures projected by each projector 3.

  • Publication number: 20010026247
Abstract: The multivision device 1 of the present invention comprises: a projection device 10 constituted by an array of a plurality of projection units 12 each composed of a rear projection projector 16 and a housing 12a to support the rear projection projector 16; and a screen 11 that is located away from the projection device 10 and displays pictures projected from the projection device 10. Pictures projected from the adjoining projection units 12 overlap on the screen 11 and are configured to form one picture on the above screen in this status. In this way, highly accurate projected pictures are obtained with no borders between the pictures adjacent to each other. According to the Invention, when the height and width of the pictures projected onto the screen 11 are H4 and W4, respectively, and the height and width on the side of the projection device 10 that faces the above screen are H2 and W2, respectively, the size of projection device 10 satisfies the relationships H2<H4 and W2<W4.
