  • Publication number: 20240123198
Abstract: A balloon has an inflatable portion that forms a tube shape extending in an extending direction in an inflated state, a distal end connecting portion provided to an end portion of the inflatable portion on one side thereof, and a proximal end connecting portion provided to an end portion of the inflatable portion on the other side thereof. At least the inflatable portion includes a plurality of first portions that forms wings in the deflated state and a plurality of second portions that is adjacent to the plurality of first portions in a circumferential direction centered on the center axis. In the process of changing shape from the inflated state to the deflated state, the plurality of second portions moves towards the center axis in advance of the plurality of first portions and thereby forms, in the inflatable portion, indentations recessed toward the center axis.

  • Publication number: 20240123199
Abstract: A balloon body for a catheter includes a balloon and a plurality of hard members. The balloon includes a plurality of rigid portions has at least a joining portion provided with each of the plurality of hard members. The plurality of flexible portions is arranged between the plurality of rigid portions in a circumferential direction. In a cross section, at least a portion of each portion protruding outward with respect to the balloon, of the plurality of hard members provided on the balloon in the deflated state, is arranged in a virtual closed region. The virtual closed region is formed when an end portion in the circumferential direction of each of the plurality of rigid portions is joined to an end portion in the circumferential direction of another rigid portion adjacent in the circumferential direction.

  • Patent number: 11679242
Abstract: A balloon catheter includes a balloon that is formed of film and includes an inflation/deflation portion. The inflation/deflation portion includes a plurality of linear projections that projects in a thickness direction of the film and extends along a surface of the film. One of the linear projections is an inner projection that projects inside the balloon.

  • Publication number: 20220096804
Abstract: A balloon catheter includes an inflatable balloon disposed on a tip-end side of the balloon catheter. A linear part of an outer surface of the inflatable balloon extends linearly in an axial direction of the inflatable balloon, the linear part has a notch at an intermediate position in a length direction of the linear part, and the notch opens in a direction intersecting the length direction.

  • Publication number: 20210113820
Abstract: A balloon catheter includes an inflatable balloon disposed on a tip-end side of the balloon catheter. The balloon includes: an inflatable straight tube portion; and a tip-end side tapered portion tapered from a tip end of the straight tube portion toward the tip-end side. The balloon catheter further includes a plurality of projections that projects from an outer surface of the balloon and linearly extends along the outer surface. The plurality of projections includes: a first projection disposed at the straight tube portion; and a second projection disposed at the tip-end side tapered portion. At least a part of the second projection in a longitudinal direction thereof includes a high projecting part having a larger projection amount than a projection amount of the first projection.

  • Patent number: 10053787
Abstract: Provided are an electrolytic cathode structure that can suppress the degradation of an activated cathode even if a reverse current flows upon the stoppage of operation of an electrolyzer in an electrode structure allowing the distance between the electrode and an electrode current collector to be maintained at an approximately constant value, and an electrolyzer using the same. The electrolytic cathode structure includes a metal elastic cushion member 1 compressed and accommodated between an activated cathode 2 and a cathode current collector 3. At least a surface layer of the cathode current collector 3 consumes a larger oxidation current per unit area than the activated cathode. The electrolyzer is partitioned by an ion exchange membrane into an anode chamber for accommodating an anode and a cathode chamber for accommodating a cathode. The electrolytic cathode structure is used for the cathode.
