  • Patent number: 10032257
Abstract: Method, device, and program for solving the problem where a conventional image restoration method based on Bayesian probability theory uses nonlinear equations and requires a plurality of convolution operations, thereby not being appropriate for a single interaction multiple data-type (SIMD) super parallel computation processing device. This provides a method in which a computer causes a SIMD super parallel computation device to assign operations which include one convolution operation based on a Bayesian probability theory linear equation; a device based on the method; first and third programs for causing a computer to execute the program, and second and fourth programs for configuring the device to the computer and causing the device to run; and storage mediums for storing the programs. Optical degradation contained in TV video and images is reduced thereby restoring the TV video and images to a state close to the pre-degradation state of the TV video and images.

  • Patent number: 9883215
Abstract: An object of the present invention is to provide a method, a device, programs, and storage media for solving a problem that it is impossible to losslessly compress a digital image while being encrypted, to transmit the digital image, and to expand the digital image at a receiving side to restore the digital image with no artifact. An image or video is subjected to discrete convolution with an encryption key image, to be defocused beyond recognition, thus being encrypted, is further subjected to entropy-coding lossless compression, and is transmitted over the Internet. The compressed image or video is expanded at a receiving side, and iterative operations are performed on the basis of a Bayse probabilistic formula by using the separately-delivered encryption key image, to restore the image or video before encryption.

  • Patent number: 9762849
Abstract: In order to solve the problems described above, the present invention employs a PSF restoring means and an image restoring means, implemented in software or hardware, for executing a plurality of iterations of real-number-based computations based on Bayse probability theory by using, as input information, a PSF luminance distribution identified according to a degree of degradation of TV video, a luminance distribution of a degraded image constituted of Y (luminance) components of the TV video, and an estimated luminance distribution of restored-image initial values. With these means, an estimated luminance distribution of a restored image having a maximum likelihood for the luminance distribution of the degraded image is obtained, and the estimated luminance distribution is substituted for the Y components of the TV video obtained by extracting the luminance distribution of the degraded image. Accordingly, TV video that approximates the pre-degradation state is provided substantially in real time.

  • Patent number: 7899254
Abstract: The present invention provides a technology which precisely restores a distribution of original information by carrying out an iterative calculation based on a distribution of degraded information and a transfer function including a phase characteristic of a transfer system. A method according to the present invention restores the original information using the degraded information and the transfer function in the frequency space. The method according to the present invention considers a distribution of the degraded information and a distribution of the original information as distributions of probability density functions, and considers the transfer function as a probability density function of a conditional probability. The most probable distribution of the original information according to the distribution of the degraded information is acquired by the iterative calculation by means of relational equations based on the Bayes' theorem relating to the probability density functions.

  • Patent number: 4523829
Abstract: An automatic focus detecting device comprising an image sensor for electrically converting distributions of two images of an object which are formed by two restricted light beams passed through different areas in a zooming lens system into time sequence video signals which in turn are extracted at predetermined extraction intervals and directed to a correlator for deciding the degree of agreement between the two images. The video signal extraction is effected in two operation modes; one is for a high accuracy focus detection and the other for a rough accuracy focus detection. In the former operation mode, a time sequence video signal of a narrow image is extracted at short intervals and on the other hand, in the latter operation mode, a time sequence video signal of a wide image is extracted at long intervals.

  • Patent number: 4460261
Abstract: An automatic focusing device by which the intensity distribution of an image of an object to be photographed is detected by a detecting section having an accumulation mode image sensor with a charge accumulation time in dependence upon the brightness of the object and develop a video signal corresponding to the intensity distribution. A signal processing circuit processes the video signal to determine whether the optical system of the photographing apparatus with which the focusing device is associated is focused or out of focus and when an out-of-focus condition is detected a drive direction signal is developed and applied to a drive to move the lens in a proper direction toward a focusing position.

  • Patent number: 4423935
Abstract: An automatic focusing device having a signal processing circuit for providing a focusing signal and a defocusing signal, or drive direction signal, to move the photographing lens to a focusing position the device is provided with a hunting preventing circuit in which, even if the drive direction signal is developed after it has been determined that the lens is focused on the object, the drive direction signal is made ineffective for a period of time which is shorter when the object brightness is high and longer where the brightness is low, whereby the hunting phenomenon with the lens which is liable to occur with a low brightness is positively prevented.

  • Patent number: 4382665
Abstract: An automatic focusing device in which the intensity distributions of the images of an object which are formed by light beams passing through different portions of an optical system in a photographing device are detected as video signals. A correlation output is obtained from the video signals so that the focusing condition is detected from the peak position of the correlation output. When the peak position is not one for focalization, a drive direction signal is delivered to drive the optical system towards the focusing position. A low contrast detecting circuit is provided in which is counted how many times the correlation output becomes higher than a predetermined level in one focusing condition detecting operation, and when the count value reaches a predetermined value, the drive direction signal is made ineffected, so as to prevent the occurrence of a hunting phenomenon with the optical system.

  • Patent number: 4381523
Abstract: An automatic focusing device comprises a detector for detecting distributions of the images of an object which are formed by two light beams passing through two different points in a photographing optical system and for providing corresponding video signals. The video signals are processed to obtain an output signal representative of a relative positional relation between the video signals for use in establishing the optical system moving direction and the distance of movement of the focusing position, or to determine only the direction of movement of the optical system so that the optical system is moved in the direction thus determined to the focusing position. The automatic focusing operation can be accomplished without using movable members other than the photographing lens of the optical system, or in the case of using a movable member, the focusing operation can be achieved with high accuracy by operating the movable member only once.
