  • Patent number: 5078186
Abstract: For improving both coplanarity and bending accuracy of gull wing type outer leads of electronic parts such as resin molded semiconductor devices, quad flat packages, etc., a lead forming machine is used which incudes a bending die and a stripper which have a pair of faced projections at both sides thereof, and bending punches vertically moving through perforations of the stripper. An electronic part with gull wing type outer leads is disposed between the bending die and the stripper in such a manner that the outer leads extend horizontally from the projections of the bending die. In this case, both sides of outer leads are placed on projections of the bending die without clamping them with the faced projections of the bending die and the stripper. The bending punches are depressed through perforations of the stripper to perform primary lead forming for the outer leads.

  • Patent number: 4510648
Abstract: A novel weighting device for draft rollers, in which a diaphragm is provided, as a pressing unit, above each top side roller. The diaphragms provided on a spinning frame are classified into a plurality of groups corresponding to species of rollers such as front rollers, middle rollers, and back rollers. Each group of diaphragms has common piping having a regulator for air pressure and branched to the diaphragms belonging to the group. One end of the piping is connected to a common high pressure air source, from which air of a uniform pressure controlled by the regulator is supplied to the diaphragms belonging to the group. Since a weighting force onto a top side roller is a function of a air pressure supplied to the diaphragm, it can be changed or diminished at once in a centralized manner by adjusting the regulator. Therefore, troublesome adjustment of individual pressing units is unnecessary.

  • Patent number: 4095401
Abstract: Method and apparatus for stopping a flyer frame at the time a roving breakage occurs in an outer layer of any roving package during the spinning operation thereof. When such roving breakage occurs, an abnormal amount of floating flies separated from the broken end portions of the roving scatter in the space between the twisting and winding mechanisms. Such abnormal amount of flies interrupt a light beam emitted from a light emitter, disposed at a position adjacent to and outside one end of the alignment of the twisting and winding flying mechanisms, toward a light receiver, disposed adjacent to and outside, but at the other end, of said alignment. When such interruption occurs the light receiver issues a signal indicating the interruption of the light beam to a power supply relay via a particular control circuit which identifies the abnormal amount of floating flies from the usual amount of floating flies.

  • Patent number: 4015416
Abstract: A method and device are disclosed for cutting a rove at doffing in a flyer frame, wherein during the normal winding operation thereof the rove drawn out from front rollers is passed through the center hole of a flyer top, the hole of a hollow leg of a flyer, and over a presser and wound on a driven bobbin which is arranged on a bobbin rail moving up and down along the bobbin guide arbor of the flyer. Just before the doffing, the supply of the rove from the front rollers is failed and the bobbin and the flyer are caused to continue rotations substantially at the same speed for a time period sufficient to allow a predetermined number of rotations of both the bobbin and flyer, whereby the rove between the flyer top and the front rollers is subject to a stronger twist than that given during the normal winding operation. This assures that the rove is always cut of itself at an optimum portion thereof at the doffing.

  • Patent number: 3960024
Abstract: Apparatus for driving detaching rollers in textile combing machines. The pilgrim step motion cycle of the detaching rollers is created by the combination of a constant rotational motion, transmitted by a driving source by way of a power transmission mechanism involving a differential gear mechanism, and a modified variable rotational motion cycle, transmitted by the differential gear mechanism. In the mechanism for creating the above-mentioned variable rotational motion, a first link motion mechanism, which is actuated by the driving source, creates a basic variable rotational motion cycle; and a second link motion mechanism, which is actuated by the output of the first link motion mechanism, adjusts the characteristic feature of the basic variable rotational motion cycle. The output of the second link motion mechanism is imparted to the differential gear mechanism as the modified variable rotational motion cycle.
