  • Publication number: 20040201715
Abstract: An image recording apparatus has the ability to output one of a received motion image and a still image, which is selected by an image switching circuit, to an image display device. The still image is read from a memory in which an image of the motion image constructing one frame is stored. When a remote controller is used to instruct image recording, a recording mode is automatically determined depending on whether a still image or a motion image is actually displayed on the image display device. Specifically, when a still image is displayed, a still image recording mode is automatically selected. When a motion image is displayed, a motion image recording mode is automatically selected. The motion image or still image is then recorded onto a recording medium.

  • Patent number: 6652451
Abstract: An endoscope system comprises an endoscope for industrial use, a remote control unit, a light source unit, a CCU, a motor-driven angling unit, a drum rotation variable resistor, a power supply unit, a buzzer, and a microphone. These apparatuses constituting a basic system are controlled by a system control CPU incorporated in a control unit. The system control CPU in the control unit is connected to an angle control CPU in the motor-driven angling unit and a DSP control CPU in the CCU over signal lines. Moreover, the system control CPU is connected to a remote control CPU in the remote control unit through a connector over a signal line. Consequently, the complex functions of the apparatuses are controlled in a centralized manner. This results in improved ease of use.

  • Publication number: 20030001949
Abstract: A picture file device having a memory device for recording a still picture has a communication interface circuit for outputting a control signal to a function unit based on a control signal received by the communication interface circuit. The picture file device further includes a picture recording control circuit for, when a picture recording operation is detected, creating a picture file having a first area for storing data of the still picture and a second area for storing first text data relating to the still picture data and for outputting the created picture file to the memory device.
