  • Patent number: 4800777
Abstract: A dynamic balancing device for a press is provided for balancing the inertia forces generated by the reciprocating parts of the press using balancing weights. A connecting rod is mounted around the crank of the drive shaft and has one end pivotally connected to the slide and the other end pivotally connected to a link. The link is connected to a pair of levers extending in opposite directions. The levers are used to move a respective pair of balancing weights 17 in opposite directions to the direction of movement of the reciprocating members of the press. The balancing weights are guided by guide pins 18 received in bores extending through the balancing weights.

  • Patent number: 4746227
Abstract: A slide guide for a press comprises a pair of sliding surfaces for slide side and frame side arranged at four corners at the left and right sides as well as the front and rear sides of the press slide to maintain the set clearance constant and each slide's side sliding surface is provided with acclivities, parallel faces and declivities alternately in the sliding directions which produces a wedge-shaped oil film thereon and the effect of the wedging action of the oil film is heightened by properly setting a wedge angle formed by the acclivities and declivities in accordance with the slide's ascending/descending speeds so that the oil film generates a separating force to wedge off the slide side and frame side sliding surfaces, thereby enabling the slide's high speed motions to remain highly accurate without producing oil film breakdown even when the clearance is set minimal.

  • Patent number: 4502379
Abstract: During press operation, the die gap is adjusted by adjustment members extending between the crown and the bed of the press, which adjustment members act in direction to move the two parts apart. The adjustment members have a hydraulic fluid piston-cylinder means therein, and the distance between the dies is adjusted by expanding or contracting the adjustment members in the axial direction by supplying hydraulic fluid pressure thereto, thereby improving the operation of the press, and making it quite easy to deal with die gap variation during operation of the press and to restore the press to normal operation after a so-called "sticking" condition occurs.

  • Patent number: 4481834
Abstract: In a balance device for a mechanical press, a press body or frame rotatably mounts a crankshaft. A slide is supported from the crankshaft by connecting rods so that it reciprocates transverse to the axial direction of the crankshaft as the shaft is rotated. To avoid the development of an oscillating effect in the press body during operation a first gear is positioned on the crankshaft. Balancing gears are supported on the press body in meshed engagement with the first gear. Each of the first gear and the balancing gears has a balance weight for counteracting the tendency of the slide to cause oscillation and vibrations in the press body.

  • Patent number: 4184644
Abstract: A coil-winding machine is disclosed in which an annular member on which wire is to be wound is inserted into a traveling ring and a shuttle and held in position. A predetermined length of wire is stored in the shuttle. The trialing end of the wire stored in the shuttle is fixed on the annular member. The shuttle is rotated in the direction of storage, while at the same time rotating the traveling ring in the direction of storage by the tension of the wire or a turning effort transmitted from a driving system, thus winding the wire on the annular member in the direction of storage. After forming a crossover wire, the wire is fixed on the annular member. The traveling ring is rotated in the direction opposite to that of storage.

  • Patent number: 4112190
Abstract: A metallized plastic molding comprises a plastic substrate, a primer layer having a gel percentage of at least 80% and a swelling degree of 20% or less deposited on said substrate and a metallic film deposited on the primer layer. The metallized plastic molding is prepared by coating a plastic substrate with a primer forming material containing at least one compound having a molecular weight of 150 - 2000 and containing at least two polymerizable unsaturated groups in one molecule, curing the primer forming material so that it has a gel percentage of at least 80% and a swelling degree of 20% or less to form a primer layer and then depositing a metallic film layer by a dry type method on the primer layer.
