  • Patent number: 4685341
Abstract: A power transmitting apparatus for a tractor is provided, which includes a travel drive line and a PTO drive line. The travel drive line is operatively connected to an engine through a running-travel clutch whereas the PTO drive line is directly connected to the engine and includes thereon a PTO clutch. Thus the two drive lines are independent of each other in respect of power transmission and clutching operation.

  • Patent number: 4610174
Abstract: A transmission for a tractor in which a forward-reverse change mechanism M3 is disposed between a first change speed mechanism M1 and a second change speed mechanism M2 and to the first change speed mechanism M1 a PTO countershaft 34 and a PTO shaft shaft 32 connected thereto are operatively connected. A drive shaft 47 for front wheels is operatively connected to the second change speed mechanism M2. A rotational power is transmitted to a mid-PTO shaft 39 from the PTO countershaft 34 via a gear 50 which is mounted freely and rotatably on the drive shaft 47 for the front wheels.

  • Patent number: 4360091
Abstract: A tractor transmission having an input shaft, a PTO system transmission shaft disposed thereunder, a gear-type speed change mechanism for changing the number of rotations of the input shaft, and oil reservoir. A gear in engagement with the gear in said gear-type speed change mechanism is rotatably disposed at said PTO system transmission shaft and blades are disposed at the boss of this first-mentioned gear. At least one side of each of said blades is opened toward said oil reservoir. Lubricating oil in said oil reservoir is utilized as resistance to the blades, thereby to stop the rotation of the gear-type speed change mechanism otherwise caused due to the force of inertia.
