  • Patent number: 5681420
Abstract: A printing method includes an ink image forming step and an ink image retransferring step. In the ink image forming step, an ink image is formed on a hot melting type adhesive layer of a transfer sheet by using a heat-sensitive image transfer type recording device. In the image retransferring step, the ink image and the hot melting type adhesive layer are transferred onto an image receiving member such as a cloth by heatedly pressing the transfer sheet.

  • Patent number: 5547779
Abstract: A separator for alkali-zinc battery comprising a microporous membrane having alkali resistance, a part of the porous membrane having highly persistent hydrophillic property and the remaining part having water repellent property. In the part having hydrophillic property, precipitation of ZnO can be controlled sufficiently because of its large persistency of hydrophilic property so that dendrite short-circuiting in the battery can be prevented satisfactorily. In the part having water repellent property, O.sub.2 gas is permeable well through it so that a decrease in capacity of battery can be avoided.

  • Patent number: 5489314
Abstract: A method for forming a nickel plate or a method for making up an alkaline battery, in such a way that cobalt oxyhydroxide is previously formed on surfaces of positive active material powder and used therefor, by mixing the positive active material powder with CoO powder, for example, to be oxidized, by oxidizing the positive active material powder in a solution including cobalt ions, or by mixing the positive active material powder with cobalt oxyhydroxide powder. A conductive network comprising the cobalt oxyhydroxide is formed, so that conductive efficiencies between the positive active materials and the positive active material and the substrate are made better.

  • Patent number: 5334439
Abstract: An image-retransfer sheet for processing dry transferring material produced by the heat-sensitive method includes a substrate, a layer of surface treating agent coated on the substrate and a layer of extended thermoplastic synthetic resin film formed on the layer of surface treating agent. An image is transferred to the image-retransfer sheet by making holes through the layer of extended thermoplastic synthetic resin film in the heat-sensitive method. In retransferring the image from the image-retransfer sheet to an image-receiving material, only the surface treating agent overlapped with the image on the image-retransfer sheet is retransferred to the image-receiving material together with the image. Therefore, undesired surface treating agent around the image is not retransferred to the image-receiving material.

  • Patent number: 5149548
Abstract: An apparatus and a method for forming a three-dimensional article with two-part curable material on the basis of a three-dimensional information on the article by means of an ink jet method. The material is jetted from at least one ink jet to a stage and laminated thereon. In two-part curable material, microcapsules which encapsulate setting material of the two-part curable material are scattered. These microcapsules are ruptured by radiation of light and so on. The laminated two-part material is supplied with radiation of light from a light source so that it is cured. In this process, a jetting direction of the material from the ink jet head to the stage and/or a jetting amount of the material jetted from the ink jet head is changed in accordance with the information by a control unit, thereby forming a solid article having a desired three-dimensional shape.
