  • Patent number: 4692915
Abstract: A recording and reproduction apparatus for recording signals on a recording medium or reproducing signals recorded on the recording medium, which is so arranged that, with acceleration detectors being provided for detecting accelerations of the apparatus by vibrations or impacts applied from outside, signals from the acceleration detectors are applied to control section for stabilization of the control system and also, for proper treatment upon application of excessively large external vibrations or impacts, with consequent improvements of reliability and stability of the apparatus.

  • Patent number: 4562562
Abstract: A data track searching device capable of switching between two modes; one being the rough searching mode in which a transducer is displaced at a high velocity to a desired track and the other being the fine searching mode which follows the rough searching mode and in which the transducer is displaced at a relative low velocity and positioned over the proper or desired track. The operating point of a tracking element is shifted or deviated as a result of the high-velocity displacement of the transducer in the rough searching mode so that stable searching cannot be ensured. According to the present invention, therefore, the acceleration of the transducer in the rough searching mode is detected and a signal representative of the thus detected acceleration is applied to the tracking element so that the shift or deviation of the operating point of the tracking element can substantially made nil.

  • Patent number: 4544957
Abstract: A time base correction apparatus is provided for use with a system for reproducing signals recorded on a recording medium. A first drive unit which rotates the recording medium is driven by a first control unit which receives a reference signal and controls the first drive unit to rotate the recording medium in phase synchronization with the reference signal. The high frequency component of the time base variation is corrected by a second drive unit which moves a transducer, which reproduces a signal from the recording medium, from one scanning position to another relative to the recording medium in a reverse direction of the signal track of the recording medium.

  • Patent number: 4539664
Abstract: In a device for reproducing the information, especially the video signal optically, magnetically or otherwise recorded on the spiral or concentric track on a disk-shaped recording medium, a control system for controlling the radially inward or outward shift or jump of a reproduction transducer from one track to another for effecting, in addition to the normal reproduction, the special effect reproductions such as still picture, slow, fast and reverse motions. The control system comprising a shifting means for shifting or jumping the transducer in the radial directions substantially perpendicular to the tracks, a control means for maintaining the transducer to scan the desired track, and a detecting means for detecting whether or not the transducer has been shifted or jumped and brought to the desired track and generating the output signal in response to which the shifting means is disabled to decelerate and stop the shifting or jumping of the transducer.
