  • Patent number: 9863652
Abstract: A cylindrical hole is formed between peripheral belt portions of two container constituent plates of a thermal storage material container of an evaporator with a cool storage function. A cylindrical portion of a thermal storage material charging member having a thermal storage material charging passage is disposed in the cylindrical hole and brazed to the two container constituent plates. That portion of the thermal storage material charging member which protrudes from the cylindrical hole includes a crushed portion and a cylindrical uncrushed portion. The crushed portion seals the thermal storage material passage. The cylindrical portion of the thermal storage material charging member is smaller in outside diameter than the uncrushed portion, and the cylindrical portion and the uncrushed portion have the same inside diameter. The cylindrical portion has an inward protrusion protruding into a thermal storage material containing space, and the inward protrusion has a radially expanding engagement portion.

  • Patent number: 9511458
Abstract: A heat exchanger with a thermal storage function includes a plurality of heat exchange tubes, a plurality of thermal storage material containers, and a first thermal storage material charging member. A circumferential wall of the first thermal storage material charging member is deformed such that a collapsed portion is formed on the first thermal storage material charging member and the thermal storage material charging passage is closed and sealed. The collapsed portion of the first thermal storage material charging member includes a first collapsed part and a second collapsed part. A relation T2<T1?2t is satisfied where “t” represents a thickness of the circumferential wall of an uncollapsed portion of the first thermal storage material charging member, “T1” represents a thickness of the first collapsed part, and “T2” represents a thickness of the second collapsed part.

  • Publication number: 20090255656
Abstract: A method of manufacturing a brazed pipe comprises steps A to D. In the step A, on an upper surface of the right-hand side edge portion of a material plate 20 having a brazing material layer over opposite surfaces thereof, a first slant surface 21 is formed such that it inclines from the upper side toward the lower side while approaching the right end, and a first flat surface 22 is formed between the first slant surface 21 and the lower surface. In the step B, on a lower surface of the left-hand side edge portion of the material plate 20, a second slant surface 24 is formed such that it inclines from the lower side toward the upper side while approaching the left end, and a second flat surface 25 is formed between the second slant surface 24 and the lower surface.

  • Patent number: 5243842
Abstract: A method of making a brazeable metal pipe which has elliptical tube-insertion apertures and guide lugs extending from at least one of the opposite edges defining the minor axis of each aperture, with the guide lugs extending in the direction of insertion of flat tubes. The method in an embodiment comprises the steps of: bending a part of a raw strip, which may be previously embossed to form recesses, so as to provide a bulged portion arc-shaped in cross section and connected to at least one unbulged flat portions; pressing inwardly to form inward swells; subsequently punching each inward swell to provide the tube-insertion aperture so that at least one of the opposite edges located at ends of the minor axis of said aperture remains unpunched; and finally bending the at least one unbulged portions to produce the finished pipe.

  • Patent number: 5123483
Abstract: The ends of numerous tubes are connected to hollow headers so that they are in fluid communication with the headers. Slit shaped apertures are formed in the outside face of the headers in the direction of their circumference, and partititions are inserted through the apertures. Each partition is constructed out of two partition plates which fit into the header through the aperture in superimposed position. Alternatively, the partition plates may be connected integrally at one end so that their unconnected ends tightly contact the edges of the slit shaped aperture. The partitions are then braced to the header to become integral with it.
