    Abstract: A laminate including a resin layer and a metal layer, the resin layer being obtained by modifying at least part of the surface of a resin film including a thermoplastic cyclic olefin resin by ionizing irradiation, and the metal layer being formed on the modified area of the surface of the resin film by plating, a method of producing the same, and an electronic circuit board including a circuit formed by etching the metal layer of the laminate by photolithography, are disclosed. The laminate ensures that the insulating resin layer (flat surface) exhibits high adhesion to the conductor layer.

    Abstract: An apparatus for producing a polymer, wherein the surface of a member contacting with the polymer of a device for melting and molding a raw material polymer has been subjected to a passivation treatment and is covered by a passive film, wherein ultra-pure water is used as a solvent to be injected into a molten polymer, to prevent the incorporation of a contaminant, and wherein an inert gas is fed to the line for discharging a gas, to prevent the contamination by back diffusion. As the above passive film, an aluminum oxide film or a chromium oxide film is preferred.

    Abstract: A resin composition, containing a polymer (A) containing an alicyclic structure and carbon nanotube (B) having a fiber diameter from 0.5 to 300 nm and a fiber length from 0.01 to 300 ?m, wherein A/B, the ratio (weight ratio) of the polymer (A) containing an alicyclic structure to carbon nanotube (B), is 100/0.01 to 100/20. According to the present invention, it is possible to provide a resin composition having excellent conductivity and low outgassing while maintaining preferable characteristics (moldability, heat resistance and mechanical strength) of a polymer containing an alicyclic structure, and a molded article formed by the resin composition.

    Abstract: A thermoplastic norbornene resin having a number-average molecular weight (Mn) of 12,000 or more in terms of polyisoprene value measured by gel permeation chromatography and excellent in low birefringence property and resistance to deterioration with greases and oils is obtained by ring-opening polymerizing a polycyclic norbornene monomer containing at least 70% by weight of a norbornene monomer represented by the following formula I (for example, 1,4-methano-1,4,4a,9a-tetrahydrofluorene): ##STR1## (wherein the lower 6-membered ring structure may have a double bond) and hydrogenating the polymer so that the hydrogenation rate of double bond in the main chain is at least 98% and the hydrogenation rate of the 6-membered ring structure is at least 90%.

C. for 1 hour, a haze value of 1.0% or less in Taber abrasion test and a pencil hardness of 2H or higher, said molded article being obtained by modifying the surface of a substrate formed of a thermoplastic norbornene resin to have a surface tension of 50 dynes/cm or greater by a treatment such as corona discharge treatment or the like or forming a preliminary primer layer of a modified product obtained by introducing a polar group into a copolymer of a vinyl aromatic compound and a conjugated diene, or the like; forming a primer layer for silicone hard coating agent on the modified surface or the preliminary primer layer, and then forming thereon a silicone hard coat layer, and a method for producing the molded article.
