  • Publication number: 20150153829
Abstract: A portable terminal device according to the present invention includes: a display unit (10); a vibration element (50) that transmits a vibration to the display unit (10); and a housing (40) capable of accommodating the vibration element (50). A first member (51) is provided between the display unit (10) and the vibration element (50), and a vibration absorbing member (52) that is more likely to absorb a vibration than the first member (51) is provided between the housing (40) and the vibration element (50). This configuration allows the vibration of the vibration element (50) to be transmitted preferentially to the display unit (10) and improves transmission characteristics of the vibration from the vibration element (50) to the display unit (10).

  • Publication number: 20150042904
Abstract: This LCD module (120) includes a light guide plate disposition area (140a) where a light guide plate (141) that emits planar-like light to the back surface of an LCD panel (130) is disposed, and a light source disposition area (140b) where a plurality of light sources (143) that emit point-like light to the side of the light guide plate (141) are disposed. The light source disposition area (140b) includes a cutout (144), and the light source (143) near the cutout (144) from among the plurality of light sources (143) is disposed so that the emitted from light is guided to the light guide plate (141) located near the cutout (144). Therefore, it is possible to reduce the unevenness in illumination.

  • Publication number: 20150005043
Abstract: A housing 10 provided in a portable terminal device according to the present invention includes a plurality of stacked carbon fiber layers 21 to 24. Further, the direction of carbon fibers of the carbon fiber layer 21 disposed on the outermost side of the housing 10 among the plurality of carbon fiber layers 21 to 24 is conformed to the longitudinal direction d1 of the housing. The carbon composite material has such properties that the thermal conductivity is high and the strength is large along the direction of the carbon fibers. Therefore, with this configuration, heat can be preferentially diffused in the longitudinal direction d1 of the housing 10 and the strength in the longitudinal direction of the housing 10 can be improved.

  • Patent number: 8022944
Abstract: Provided is an inputting device that is disposed in an opening of a cabinet surface. The device includes an elastic sheet having an outside surface disposed on an inside surface of the cabinet including the opening and across the opening. A sliding key is fixed on the outside surface of the elastic sheet with at least a portion in the opening of said cabinet surface. The device also includes sensors to detect movement, in a horizontal direction that is substantially parallel to said cabinet surface, of the sliding key. The device also includes guides being possible to be recognized optically that are disposed on designated positions on the elastic sheet, and the sensors detect the moved direction and the amount of the horizontal movement of the sliding key by reading the movements of said guides optically.

  • Patent number: 7483725
Abstract: In recent years, a design where a microphone is not located in a position appropriately facing the oral cavity of an operator has been widely adopted from a viewpoint of convenience of miniaturization and mounting of a mobile telephone. When telephonic communication is made with such a mobile telephone, if a voice of the other party for telephonic communication is hard to hear, the operator necessarily tightly presses his/her face against a front surface of a chassis. Thus, the sensitivity and sound collecting property of the microphone are reduced. In the present invention, when a sound hole as a voice transmission path is formed in the vicinity of a manipulation section, slits are formed in the peripheries of the manipulation section and the sound hole.
