Patent number: 8028394Abstract: A back surface of an outer case is formed by mutually overlapping left and right back panels. The overlapping edges on the front side and backside of the panels may be bent toward the opposite side at a blunt angle. A joint between the back panels is established in which the overlapping edge of one back panel is pressed against the overlapping edge of the other back panel. Spacers are mounted between the outer and inner case such that the overlapping edges are put in close contact with each other. The bends are deformed in order to prevent leakage from the joint after the injection of foam liquid. Due to the pressure of the foam, both of the overlapping edges are placed in closer contact while deforming the bends to be substantially flat. Consequently, the sealing properties of the joint after the completion of the thermally insulated housing are secured.Type: GrantFiled: September 16, 2009Date of Patent: October 4, 2011Assignee: Hoshizaki Denki Kabushiki KaishaInventor: Mitsuyuki Takaoka

Patent number: 6350002Abstract: A storage apparatus such as a refrigerator includes a heat-insulated housing having a storage compartment defined by a ceiling, a bottom, two side walls, and a rear wall and a front opening, and a partition frame including a horizontal frame and a vertical frame and mounted on the heat-insulated housing so as to partition the front opening into a plurality of access openings, the access openings having doors respectively. The horizontal frame is formed into a single member fixed to both side walls of the heat-insulated housing so as to extend between them. The vertical frame is formed so as to extend between the ceiling of the heat-insulated housing and the horizontal frame and/or between the bottom of the heat-insulated housing and the horizontal frame.Type: GrantFiled: February 15, 2000Date of Patent: February 26, 2002Assignee: Hoshizaki Denki Co., Ltd.Inventors: Mitsuyuki Takaoka, Takenobu Sobukawa, Shigekazu Kondo, Hideyuki Anzai

Patent number: 5154502Abstract: A sealing structure, adapted to be fitted in a gap between a wall surface of a thermally insulated box and a partition wall, includes a rigid main body portion supported by the partition wall, a plurality of flexible seal members integrally formed with the main body portion and extending therefrom, and an engaging part formed in the main body portion. When the structure is mounted in the gap, the engaging part engages the partition wall to thereby allow the main body portion to be supported by the partition wall, while some of the plural seal members abut on the inner wall surface of the thermally insulated box to thereby define a plurality of hollow spaces in cooperation with the main body portion of the seal structure and the wall surface of the thermally insulated box.Type: GrantFiled: February 1, 1991Date of Patent: October 13, 1992Assignee: Hoshizaki Denki Kabushiki KaishaInventor: Mitsuyuki Takaoka

Patent number: 5081850Abstract: The refrigerator of this invention includes a thermal insulating box, an upper storing box and a lower storing box within the thermal insulating box, and a cooling unit arranged above the upper storing box. An interior space within the thermal insulating box is divided into a first passage communicating with a cold air blowing side of the cooling unit to cool the storing box while lowering the cold air and a second passage communicating with a cold air sucking side of the cooling unit to cool the storing box while raising the cold air descended down to the bottom part of the thermal insulating box and to return the cold air to the cooling unit. A space having the cooling unit stored therein is divided by a partition wall into a first chamber having the cooling unit arranged therein and a second chamber having an air blowing fan arranged therein. The partition wall is provided with through-holes at locations corresponding to the cold air passage within the first chamber.Type: GrantFiled: May 22, 1990Date of Patent: January 21, 1992Assignee: Hoshizaki Denki Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Yuji Wakatsuki, Shigekazu Kondo, Mitsuyuki Takaoka, Masaru Hirosawa, Nobuya Suzuki
