  • Patent number: 11978741
Abstract: An object is to provide a display device which operates stably with use of a transistor having stable electric characteristics. In manufacture of a display device using transistors in which an oxide semiconductor layer is used for a channel formation region, a gate electrode is further provided over at least a transistor which is applied to a driver circuit. In manufacture of a transistor in which an oxide semiconductor layer is used for a channel formation region, the oxide semiconductor layer is subjected to heat treatment so as to be dehydrated or dehydrogenated; thus, impurities such as moisture existing in an interface between the oxide semiconductor layer and the gate insulating layer provided below and in contact with the oxide semiconductor layer and an interface between the oxide semiconductor layer and a protective insulating layer provided on and in contact with the oxide semiconductor layer can be reduced.

  • Publication number: 20140169755
Abstract: The data processing apparatus includes: a first storage medium having a relatively long activation time from an initial state until a first access is completed; a second storage medium having a relatively short activation time, and previously retaining image data; a reception module configured to receive a request to display the image data; and a processor configured to execute the first and second processes when the request to display is received in a power OFF state. The first process executed by the processor is a process of outputting the image data retained in the second storage medium. The second process is a process of starting activation of the first storage medium, and after activation of the first storage medium is completed so that the first storage medium becomes accessible, outputting data which is stored in the first storage medium or information which is generated based on the data.

  • Patent number: 7738330
Abstract: Congested rewriting in the same area is to be evaded to suppress the tendency towards occurrence of defective areas. When a stream 1 has been recorded, the last written address, representing the last written position, is stored. When recording a stream 2 next, recording is started directly following the position indicated by the last written address for the stream 1. The last written address, corresponding to the last address of the recording position, is stored. If the stream 2 is erased for recording a stream 3, recording is started not at a position directly following the last written address of the stream 1, but from a position directly following the last written address of the stream 2. When the stream 3 has reached the end of a recording area, the next following data is recorded as from a position directly following the stream 1.

  • Patent number: 7529160
Abstract: In order to perform simultaneous recording of a plurality of pieces of real time data, a large capacity of buffer memories were required. In addition, it was difficult to reproduce data which was recorded by a different apparatus. The present invention has an objective of providing an information recording medium, a simultaneous recording method, and an information recording and reproduction apparatus which guarantee simultaneous recording. The simultaneous recording is guaranteed by reproducing data in each of areas having at least a minimum size fulfilling the simultaneous recording condition which allows for the number of access operations which is twice the number of pieces of real time data to be recorded, and when the data amount in the buffer is empty, switching the current recording operation to another recording operation to continue recording.

  • Patent number: 7509333
Abstract: An information recording medium comprises a data recording area. A lead-in area and a volume space are allocated in the data recording area in advance. The volume space is constructed so as to allow a logical zone for recording at least a volume-file structure and an over-run protection area for preventing an access to an unrecorded area to be alternately allocated in the volume space. The lead-in area and the over-run protection area each include a chain volume management information area for storing chain volume management information. The chain volume management information includes address information of a subsequent logical zone and address information of a subsequent chain volume management information area.

  • Patent number: 7376067
Abstract: When recording data on a medium where a certain data rate is required, an allocation manager in the player must allocate sections of the logical space in such a way that the recording medium is efficiently filled and that an adequate data rate can be guaranteed even in the presence of defective ECC blocks. The allocation rules for the allocation manager are complex. The rules can be simplified by placing a lower limit on the size of an extent and by increasing the size of the extent depending on the number of defect ECC blocks in the extent.

  • Publication number: 20070254651
Abstract: To provide the technique of getting a content that is executable on a mobile terminal without using the mobile terminal to access the responding server of a content seller. A digital broadcast receiver transmits content data to at least one external terminal with a unique terminal ID. The receiver includes: a receiving section for receiving a digital broadcasting wave; a getting section for getting the content data from the digital broadcasting wave; a memory in which the terminal IDs of one or more external terminals have been stored in advance; and a communication section for communicating with the external terminal and getting the unique terminal ID of the external terminal. If the terminal ID gotten is identical to any of the terminal IDs stored in the memory, the communication section transmits the content data to the external terminal.

  • Patent number: 7188221
Abstract: According to a recording method for a conventional rewritable disc, the latest data is recorded by rewriting data in an identical area. In the case of a disc of which the number of times of data rewrite is limited, this causes a problem that a defect block is easily generated. The present invention has an objective of providing an information recording medium, an information recording and reproduction method, and an information recording and reproduction system apparatus, by which data is recorded sequentially from an unallocated area after an entry sector number, and data recording is sequentially repeated from an inner portion to an outer portion.
