  • Publication number: 20230039574
Abstract: A system and method for anchoring a traffic barrier to a road is disclosed. The traffic barrier has a footer and a wall extending inward and upward from the footer to a top surface. Anchor recesses intersect the footer. A footer port extends through the footer beneath the anchor recess. An insert having a head portion and probe is positioned in the anchor recess and footer port. An insert port extends through the head portion and probe in angular relation to the longitudinal centerline of the barrier. The insert port aligns a drill for drilling a subsurface hole at a predetermined angle extending beneath the traffic barrier. Epoxy is inserted into the hole and a threaded rod is inserted through the insert port to be adhered to the road by the epoxy. A threaded fastener is connected to the threaded rod above the insert.

  • Patent number: 11459714
Abstract: A subterranean housing and post system for connection to a traffic guardrail is disclosed. The housing comprises an interior space and a soil plate extending outward from the housing. The interior of the housing comprises a lower post guide, a lower post stop, and an upper post stop. A lower post has a U-channel shape with outwardly extending flanges. The lower post is insertable into the lower end of the housing, between the lower post guide and the housing body, with insertion limited by engagement with the lower post stop. An upper post has a U-channel shape with outwardly extending flanges. The upper post is insertable into the upper end of the housing, between the lower post and the housing body. Insertion of the upper post is limited by engagement with the upper post stop. The upper post is connectable to a guardrail.

  • Patent number: 11028545
Abstract: A traffic barrier system of series connectable barriers, each barrier having a body with a skirt section, an intermediate section comprising a lower portion, a central portion, and an upper portion, and a head section extending above the intermediate section. The skirt section and lower portion have positive slopes. The upper portion and head section have negative slopes. A vertical end channel is formed on each of the opposite first and second ends. A lower tension bar is cast in the skirt section and an upper tension bar is cast in the head section. Within the body of the barrier, the tension bars are articulated in relation to each other. The tension bars have tabs extending out of the body for overlapping pivotal connection to an adjacent barrier.
