  • Publication number: 20100185295
Abstract: A prosthesis includes a bone anchoring element and a meniscal element capable of being installed on this anchoring element which includes a medullary anchor shaft with a hollow interior, defining a cavity, and a transverse rod fixed and extending through this cavity, and the meniscal element includes an assembly shaft intended to be engaged in the cavity, this assembly shaft having a longitudinal slot having a width smaller than the transverse section of the transverse rod, one end of which opens in the free end of the assembly shaft and the other end of which opens in a transverse hole having a cross-section slightly larger than that of the transverse rod, the assembly shaft intended, thanks to this slot, to be engaged on the transverse rod until engagement of the transverse rod in the transverse hole, with locking, when the meniscal element is in its assembled position on the bone anchoring element.

  • Publication number: 20100076561
Abstract: A set includes at least one humeral element (2), at least one prosthetic head, and elements for mounting the prosthetic head in a plurality of positions in relation to the humeral element. The mounting elements include a plane and circular proximal face (12) of the humeral element, and a plate (13) projecting from the face and including indexing members, an inclined peripheral edge (15) and a groove (14). The set of elements includes at least one intermediary element including a base and a mounting end on one side of the base, the base having a cavity containing indexing members which complement those of the plate, and the cavity being dimensioned in such a way as to receive the plate in an adjusted manner. The base (21, 31) also includes a groove in the wall defining the periphery of the cavity, the groove receiving a split ring.

  • Publication number: 20100071432
Abstract: A method for producing bone plates includes the following steps: using a sheet (1) of titanium or of titanium alloy having a thickness of 1.7 to 2 mm; determining the direction of the fibres of this sheet (1) and cutting out portions (3) of sheet (1) parallel to the direction of the fibres of this sheet (1); cutting out, from each portion (3) of sheet, bone plates or bone plate blanks (4), in such a way that a longitudinal direction of these plates or blanks (4) is parallel to the direction of the fibres of the sheet (1); curving the sheets, plates or blanks in a suitable manner and then finishing the plates or blanks (4).

  • Patent number: 5975902
Abstract: A device for securing one or a plurality of teeth to the alveolar bone (60) of a patient is disclosed. The device includes osseointegratable parts (80), each of which has a screw-threaded fixture part (2a), an intermediate part (6a) and a head part (44a) which is generally dome-shaped A bridge (48) which may support one or a plurality of teeth is arranged to co-operate with the osseointegratable part (80) by means of dimples (52) in the bridge engaging respective head parts (44a), the bridge being secured in position by respective screws (62). As an alternative to a one-piece osseointegratablc part (80), an osseointegratable part which comprises three components is also described. A method of securing one or a plurality of teeth to the alveolar bone, a method of cosmetic treatment and a method of manufacturing parts of the device are also described.
