  • Patent number: 11981879
Abstract: Dilutable concentrates useful for hard surface cleaners with improved film/streak performance on high-energy surfaces are disclosed. The concentrates comprise a nonionic alkoxylated surfactant and a polyetheramine. A relatively minor proportion of a polyetheramine can resolve film/streak issues that characterize hard surface cleaners formulated with nonionic surfactants. The efficacy of polyetheramines for improving film/streak performance of hard surface cleaners formulated with nonionic alkoxylated surfactants far exceeds the benefits available from known improvements, such as the use of hydrotropes. Other inventive dilutable concentrates and hard surface cleaners comprise an amine-functional hydrophobe and an auxiliary surfactant. Still other dilutable concentrates or hard surface cleaners comprise a nonionic alkoxylated surfactant and lactic acid. An improved method for measuring film/streak properties of hard surface cleaners is also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 9988594
Abstract: A cleaning composition for sanitizing and/or disinfecting hard surfaces, comprising: a cationic biocide, surfactant and low levels of VOC solvents. The cleaning composition is adapted to clean a variety of hard surfaces without leaving behind a visible residue and creates low levels of streaking and filming on the treated surface. The cleaning composition contains less than 5% by weight of VOCs. The cleaning composition may be used alone as a liquid or spray formulation or in combination with a substrate, for example, a pre-loaded cleaning wipe.

  • Patent number: 9096821
Abstract: The invention relates to preloaded cleaning and sanitizing wipes comprising a nonwoven substrate, and a cleaning formulation loaded onto or within the nonwoven substrate. The cleaning composition may include about 0.001% to about 10% by weight of an antimicrobial compound comprising a quaternary ammonium compound, less than about 4% by weight of an alcohol solvent containing a single hydroxyl group, a preservative, about 0.05% to about 10% by weight of a glycol solvent (e.g., preferably a glycol ether solvent), about 0.05% to about 10% of one or more surfactants, and water. The composition may have a pH from about 4 to about 8.

  • Patent number: 8809250
Abstract: A water soluble strip that includes a carrier film that include water soluble polymer, one or more actives and one or more agents such as heat forming agent and/or degrading accelerator. The water soluble strip can optionally include other additives. The actives includes antimicrobial agent, cleaning agent and/or surfactant. The water soluble strip can include other materials. The heat forming agent and/or degrading accelerator, when used, are designed facilitate in degrading or dissolving the water soluble strip and/or increase the activity of the one or more actives. The water soluble film can be used for a variety of applications such as a hard surface cleaning strip, dishwashing strip, laundry cleaning strip, stop removing strip, drain unclogging strip, toilet bowl cleaning strip and the like. The water soluble strip eliminates the need to purchase and store numerous containers and/or heavy containers of cleaner that take up large amounts of shelf space.
