  • Patent number: 7106214
Abstract: Apparatus and method for finding an unoccupied parking space in a parking lot using an On-Line computer system comprises barring mechanisms at a parking space having a receiver capable of receiving a specific wave energy frequency transmitting from a remote control unit. Upon receiving of such signal of matching frequency resulting in removal of the barring mechanism, permitting parking of a vehicle into such space and sending information on-line to the system computer at the entrance that the space is occupied. Upon leaving of the vehicle from the parking space, the barring mechanisms resumes and the transmitter unit at the parking space sending signal on-line to notify the computer at the entrance that such parking space is unoccupied. • Patent number: 6550090
Abstract: A machine for cleaning outer wall of a high-rise building pushed by a rotating propeller which is at the back of the machine outside a case having rotating brushes chambers, driven by an engine or a motor to press against a wall to be cleaned comprises: a case divided into chambers having an opened-anterior side where edges of all the chambers having rubber plates or brushes mounted all along their rims. In each chamber, there is a rotating brush (or brushes) for scrubbing where detergent solution or water may be ejected onto the rotating brush. At the back of each chamber there is a tube for draining used liquid away or keeping in a reservoir of the machine. There are steel plates mounted vertically one to the top and one to the bottom of the case, where a rubber plate is mounted horizontally along the top steel plate to help wiping off liquid film left on the surface of the wall.

  • Patent number: 6170109
Abstract: A machine for cleaning the outer wall of a high-rise building using a pneumatic system or a vacuum system consists of a case divided into three chambers vertically arranged having an opened-anterior side where edges of all chambers having rubber plates or brushes mounted all along their rims. In each upper and lower chamber there is mounted a roller having its surface aligned with an edge of the rubber plates or brushes. The machine is pressed against a wall to be cleaned be either a pneumatic or vacuum mechanism. The machine moves along a wall which cleaning by shifting a cable tied at the top of a case. In a middle chamber, there is a drum-brush whose hair sticks out over the level of the edge of the rubber plate or brushes. There is also tubing to eject water and/or detergent solution to the drum-brush, and where the drum-brush is motor-driven in cleaning the wall.

  • Patent number: 6131667
Abstract: A fire extinguisher which maintains a constantly high pressure inside a shell of the fire extinguisher through out a shelf-life of the fire extinguisher comprising an ejection chamber having internal threads at its lower edge and a shell having external threads at its upper edge to mate tightly with internal threads of ejection chamber where shell contains fire extinguishing agent in an absolutely closed system, and where there is a pressing element presses on top of a plate fillet welded to an inner lower wall of the ejection chamber. Upon destroying pressing element, pressure inside shell causes a hole being formed in said plate allowing ejection of fire extinguishing agent to put out fire.

  • Patent number: 5825007
Abstract: An automatic system is for collection of expressway tolls uses prepaid cards to pay toll while a vehicle is moving at a normal driving speed through a toll booth where computer network is not required. A tollroad with plurality of entrances and exits is provided toll booths one at each entrance and one at each exit. Each toll booth has a toll-collecting device having a support booth and a main booth. An in-vehicle unit is installed in the moving vehicle. Infrared radiation is used as communication apparatus between toll-collecting device and in-vehicle unit to make the system most cost-effective with very low cost of installation, versatile, accurate and virtually error-free compared with those systems using radio frequency for communication. Toll is collected as fixed or variable rates according to the type of vehicles classified by their height and the distance the vehicle travels, the longer the higher is the toll.

  • Patent number: 5810417
Abstract: The automatic seats in a vehicle are designed to minimize the seriousness of car-crash injuries during a frontal collision. When the vehicle collides against the other vehicle or any other stationary objects at a relative velocity of 40 Km/h or up, the backrest is pushed to recline backward by the action of the springs together with various mechanisms especially designed. Spring of either torsion type or tension type is used. The collision results in pulling the upper part of the body of the driver or the occupants fastened by the designed safety-belts to recline backwards. Thus, the pelvis, the chest and the head of an occupant sitting on this automatic safety car seat are moved away to the farmost and thus, can avoid striking with the deforming frontal parts of the car intruding by the frontal collision. The chest injuries and the brain damage can then be effectively avoided.

When the vehicle collides against other vehicle at a relative velocity of 40 Km/h or up, the backrest is pushed to recline backward by action of springs and various mechanisms designed. A tension spring is one of the most important part used to bring the backrest to a reclining position. Collision results in pulling the upper part of occupants fastened by designed safety-belts to the backrest to recline backwards to the rearmost. Thus, pelvis, chest and head of the occupant are moved away to the farmost and can avoid striking with deforming frontal parts of the intruding car by frontal collision. Chest injuries and brain damage can be avoided.

  • Patent number: 5566668
Abstract: A life-saving helmet for escaping from the fire comprised of a transparent plastic bowl. There is a mouth-piece tubing for user putting in his mouth to blow out the exhaled air, while the external end has a check valve allowing only the one-way flow of the air outside. There is another tubing slight above the user's nose, having an automatic check valve allowing the one-way flow of the air to the outside, thereby keeping the pressure inside the helmet constant at one atmospheric pressure. A spot-light at the forehead level of the helmet provides light to assist escaping in the dark and as a signal seeking for help. A built-in plastic pipe on top of the helmet contains a breathable air bottle. The bottle has a tubing extended out. The tip of the tubing abuts the upper edge of a rectangular groove at inner anterior wall of the plastic pipe. A sheath is sealed at lower edge of the blow with an elastic band at its rim. The posterior end of plastic pipe is closed with a lid.

  • Patent number: 5451758
Abstract: An automatic system and method using prepaid cards for collection of the expressway tolls while the vehicle is moving at a normal driving speed where a computer-network is not required. Upon insertion of a valid prepaid card with a sufficient cash balance to pay the maximum toll for an expressway into a card reader/writer of an in-vehicle device, the device is turned `ON`. A transmitter in the device is actuated to continuously transmit an infrared signal to cancel the activation of an alarm at the toll facility and to activate a transmitter of the toll facility to transmit an infrared signal of a predetermined modulation frequency identifying each toll facility. A data processing means of the in-vehicle device calculates toll using information from the infrared signals received one at the entrance and another at the exit and reduces toll from the cash balance in the prepaid card. The card reader/writer rewrites the resulting amount onto the card.

  • Patent number: 5397028
Abstract: An automatic dispenser for spraying a liquid or flowable disinfectant to dermatologically treat hands or the like. The dispenser automatically senses the presence of a user's hands using an infrared sensing mechanism, and in response sprays a predetermined volume of volatile disinfectant onto the user's hands for a predetermined length of time via a control circuit. The control circuit supplies an electromagnet with power for the predetermined length of time to move a magnetic frame downward against an inverted bottle of disinfectant in the dispenser housing. The bottle contains a known quantity of disinfectant fluid and the dispensing operation dispenses a measured dose upon each actuation. A counter circuit then counts the doses dispensed and provides a warning signal when the bottle is empty or nearly empty of the flowable disinfectant.
