  • Patent number: 10292227
Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure provide a light emitting diode (LED) fade-in method. The method can include increasing an output current of an LED lighting system from an initial current level to an intermediate current level during a first phase of a fade-in process via a first set of current steps, and decreasing the output current of the LED lighting system from the intermediate current level to a target current level during a second phase of the fade-in process via a second set of current steps. The LED lighting system has a brightness resolution, and each of the first and second sets of current steps corresponds to a finest adjustable brightness value of the brightness resolution.
