  • Patent number: 5016230
Abstract: A low power consumption timing device using an oscillator and chained CMOS flip-flop devices providing all time-dependent functions, with an audible and/or visual alarm which signals after a predetermined elapsed time and continues until deliberately reset especially useful for repetitively timed events such as reminders for taking medication at fixed intervals. When reset the elapsed timer begins the next timed interval. A minor circuit revision, makes possible an automatic reset of the timer mechanism after each elapsed interval without disturbing the signal latch. This alternate method can produce constant period cycles without regard to other signal reset mechanisms.

  • Patent number: 4291296
Abstract: A circuit for disabling a vehicle engine comprises a relay having a winding and four sets of contacts. One end of the relay winding is connected to a power terminal for connection to the vehicle ungrounded battery terminal potential. The other end of the winding is coupled to a first terminal for receiving an alarm output signal by a first diode and to ground potential through a holding set of contacts on the relay and a normally closed reset switch. A second terminal for connection to a horn relay is coupled to the first terminal by a second diode poled opposite to the first diode. A first common terminal and second output terminal are intercoupled by relay contacts for establishing a normally closed path therebetween. A third output terminal is intercoupled by the relay contacts for establishing a normally open path between the first and third terminals.

  • Patent number: 4253094
Abstract: A triggered before disarmed alarm system uses CMOS circuitry having a hex-inverter integrated circuit with the output logical inverter coupled to the output transistor by a timing circuit that may be selected through control of the presence and absence of a D.C. operating potential to selectively provide pulsating or continuous potential, respectively, to the output transistor that renders the output transistor intermittently and continuously conductive, respectively, in the presence of an alarm signal. Intercoupling circuitry includes resistance capacitance networks with the capacitance shunted by Zener diodes having a voltage rating corresponding substantially to the voltage rating of the capacitance shunted.

  • Patent number: 4136334
Abstract: A triggered before disarmed alarm system especially useful in connection with an automobile alarm uses CMOS circuitry and appropriate supply filtering having one hex-inverter integrated circuit as the only active component beside the output transistor. Diodes couple a negative immediate trigger, positive and negative delayed triggers and a disarm potential to various ones of the six inverters to render the output transistor conductive and signify an alarm condition only when an alarm condition is signified by a sequence of inputs consistent with unauthorized entry.
