  • Patent number: 6175624
Abstract: A connector is provided for use in a battery pack for connecting the battery cells to the telephone and to a battery charger. The connector utilizes stamped nickel contact pads which may be spot welded directly to the battery cells. The use of the stamped nickel contact pads results in improvements in strength of the connector and a reduction in the cost as compared to the prior art flexible circuit board-type connectors.

  • Patent number: 5959433
Abstract: A universal inductive battery charger is described including an inductive battery charger having a charging coil which creates magnetic flux lines when the charging coil is energized. The battery charger is adapted to charge a battery pack, through induction, when the rechargeable battery pack is placed on the battery charger. The battery pack includes a pick-up coil which will have an electrical current induced therein when the battery pack is positioned adjacent the battery charger. The battery pack includes a circuit for rectifying the induced current in the pick-up coil to charge the battery cells in the battery pack.
