  • Publication number: 20230061598
Abstract: The present invention relates to a motion platform that moves in two degrees of rotational freedom that can be used to simulate board activities such as skateboarding and surfing and is readily extended to simulate other experiences such as skiing, driving, flying, and even boxing, through the attachment of the appropriate apparatus. The motion platform comprises a pivotable table attached to a base with two toothed belts attached at quadrants of the table, with the belts attached to a pair of ball-screws mounted orthogonally in the base. Pulleys mounted in the quadrants of the base redirect the belts so that they travel parallel to the ball screws. Cams maintain proper tension in the belts as the table pivots.

  • Patent number: 11220381
Abstract: The bottle-sealing and preservation device provides for the sealing of necked bottles, including those designed to hold pressure such as champagne bottles, using mechanical advantage to compress an O-ring against the inner surface of the bottle neck. The device can accommodate a wide range of bottle-neck diameters and includes a stabilizing ring that engages the bottle mouth. Optionally, the device may be fitted with a cylindrical cage in which an oxygen-scavenging sachet may be inserted to pull oxygen out of the bottle headspace, thereby preserving any remaining liquid therein that is susceptible to oxidation.

  • Patent number: 8272538
Abstract: The wine bottle sealing and dispensing device provides for the dispensing of wine from a wine bottle, or any other liquid from a corresponding liquid container, without exposing the wine or liquid in the bottle to environmental air at any time. The device includes a housing adapted for mounting above a cork of a corked wine bottle. An upper open end of a hollow needle is mounted in the housing, the needle projecting downward from the housing and terminating in a tip adapted for insertion through the cork. A first end of a spout projects outwardly from the housing, and a second end of the spout is in fluid communication with the upper open end of the hollow needle. A cartridge of pressurized, inert gas is mounted to the housing. The cartridge is in communication with an upper end of a gas conduit, which is mounted within the hollow needle.

  • Publication number: 20080115678
Abstract: An exemplary method, apparatus and system of crushing a bottle may include a barrel for surrounding a bottle. The barrel may have a main body with a threaded outer surface. A plate may be slidably engaged with an inner surface of the barrel at a first end of the barrel. A nut may be operably engaged with the threads on the outer surface of the barrel. A tab portion may be integral with the plate and the tab may be mounted on the nut. A cap may be repeatably attachable to an end of the barrel opposite the plate. Movement of the nut may facilitate movement of the plate and moving the plate in the direction of the lid may crush a bottle within the barrel.
