  • Patent number: 6354825
Abstract: A fluid compressor comprising a helical blade type compression mechanism that includes a cylinder, a roller arranged inside the cylinder and a helical blade interposed between the roller and the cylinder. The blade, the roller and the cylinder are formed of materials whose coefficients of thermal expansion satisfy relationships: Blade>Roller>Cylinder. According to this invention, pressure release can be easily performed in the case where the liquid flows back or under a low-temperature condition as at the time of actuation. In addition, the compression performance can be improved under a high-temperature condition during operation.

  • Patent number: 5217361
Abstract: A compressor includes a casing having an oil reservoir, a cylinder situated within the casing, a cylindrical rotary body situated eccentrically within the cylinder, the rotary body having first and second spiral grooves extending in opposite directions from the middle part of the rotary body to both ends of the rotary body, first and second spiral blades fitted in the first and second spiral grooves, the blades having outer peripheral surfaces brought into contact with the inner peripheral surface of the cylinder, dividing the space defined by the inner peripheral surface of the cylinder and the rotary body into a plurality of working chambers, thereby constituting first and second compression sections, wherein the first and second blades freely project from and retreat in the first and second spiral grooves in the radial direction of the rotary body, driving means for rotating the cylinder and the rotary body relative to each other, a first refrigerant passage formed in the rotary body and opening to an area

  • Patent number: 5090874
Abstract: A fluid compressor includes a cylinder having first and second discharge ends, in which a rotating rod is rotatably arranged. First and second spiral grooves are formed on the outer circumference of the rod, and first and second spiral blades are fitted into the grooves. The first groove has a first starting end located in the middle portion of the rod, and extends from the starting end toward the first discharge end. The second groove has a second starting end located in the middle portion of the rod, and extends from the second starting end toward the second discharge end. The first and second starting ends are set apart from each other by a certain angle in the circumferential direction of the rod. Operating fluid is introduced into the middle portion in the cylinder, and fed to the first and second discharge ends of the cylinder through operating chambers defined by the first and second blades in the cylinder.

  • Patent number: 5026264
Abstract: A fluid compressor includes a cylinder and a columnar rotary rod. The rod is arranged in the cylinder so as to extend in the axial direction thereof and be eccentric thereto, and orbitable relative to the cylinder without rotation with respect to the cylinder while part of the rod is in contact with the inner circumferential surface of the cylinder. A spiral groove is formed on the outer circumference of the rod and a spiral blade is fitted in the groove. The space between the outer circumference surface of the rod and the inner circumference surface of the cylinder is divided by the blade into a plurality of operating chambers. The groove has an overall length larger than that of the blade by a predetermined length so that the blade is displaceable relative to the rod in the radial and circumferential directions of the rod without sliding on the inner circumferential of the cylinder.
