  • Patent number: 7131362
Abstract: A punching machine includes a body frame having a table to support a workpiece. First and second work movement positioning apparatuses are mounted at both sides to move and position the workpiece in a direction of axis X. A work head is mounted on the body frame and has a ram and a tool. The work head moves on the body frame in a direction of axis Y, which is perpendicular to axis X. The first and second work movement positioning apparatuses are arranged in series in the direction of axis X. The workpiece is clamped by the first positioning apparatus, moved in the direction of axis X, punched, clamped by the second positioning apparatus, unclamped by the first positioning apparatus, and moved further in the direction of axis X.

  • Publication number: 20030097868
Abstract: A sheet metal follower associated with a press for bending a metal sheet, the follower being of the type comprising a pivot mechanism capable of causing the follower table to tilt, wherein a toothed wheel that is prevented from rotating is connected to a second toothed wheel by a cog belt, wherein the second toothed wheel pivots inside the cog belt, thereby causing the follower table to pivot about the rotary shaft, and wherein the upward and downward movements of the follower table are synchronized with its pivoting movement so that the plane in which the top support face of said table lies always includes the front edge of the matrix of the bending press.

  • Patent number: 5425692
Abstract: In order to change punches and dies on upper and lower turrets during punching operation on a workpiece, a turret punch press includes a plurality of rotatable holder frames each supporting the upper and lower turret. Thus, when a first set of upper and lower turrets supported on a first holder frames is located in a working region under a striker for a punching operation, a second set of upper and lower turrets supported on a second holder frame is located in a position outside the working region, whereby a punch and die supported on the second set of the turrets can be changed for another punch and die during punching operation. In the preferable embodiment, the holder frame is removably supported on a main frame of the turret punch press, whereby the holder frame can be changed for another holder frame during punching operation.

  • Patent number: 5320595
Abstract: A punch press provided with a tool magazine in which a plurality of tool mounting gondolas are supported movably in a vertical loop by and between two endless chains arranged vertically around sprocket wheels. Each gondola is supported at its supporting points which differ from each other at least in height, whereby the gondola is moved around in the loop without overturn when the sprocket wheels are rotated by a motor. Each of the gondolas stays at a manually tool changing location of the magazine where a table is provided for changing a number of tool assemblies in the magazine. The table has at least one guide which is positioned at two different heights, and along the guide tool assemblies or an upper and a lower die holders are drawn out of the gondola horizontally and placed in desired positions for replacement.

  • Patent number: 5032701
Abstract: A wire cutting electric discharge machine, in which a wire 27 which has been used a is interposedly supported between opposed top and bottom endless belts 35 and discharged from the machine. The force between the belts 35 with which the wire is interposedly supported can be increased, and the wire 27 can be discharged irrespective of any wear on the belts 35. In addition, in order to extend the life of the belts, during the interval in which the wire is being interposedly supported by the belts, a twist is imparted to the belts and a pair of wire discharge rollers which stretches the wire provided at the rear side of the belts.

  • Patent number: 4978828
Abstract: A wire cutting electric discharge machine that has wire supply rollers 17A and 17B feed the wire at a first speed and a wire feed out section that conveys the wire to a scrap box at a second speed that is greater than the first speed. Detection of the wire successfully reaching a wire guide section on the wire take out side is accomplished by detecting the speed of movement of a wire supply roller to see when it exceeds a preset fixed speed of movement.
