The blocked photographic agent is completely stable upon storage of the photographic material, and releases a photographic agent at a desired time upon processing. The blocked photographic agent also exhibits its function to a substantial degree over a wide range of pH.

The other layer is comprised of a silver halide emulsion layer containing a polymer coupler latex which is adjacent to the emulsion layer containing the dye diffusion type coupler. By utilizing the silver halide color photographic light-sensitive material as disclosed within the application it is possible to obtain improved results with respect to the graininess and sharpness of the images produced with the material without having bad effects on other photographic properties of the material.

The method of the present invention does not produce poisonous materials which are harmful to the environment and provides an excellent high speed bleaching process without harming other photographic properties.
