    Abstract: A four-terminal radio frequency interference filter is described which combines a series connected parallel tuned circuit with a pair of capacitors to form a pi network. In one refinement, a quarter wave coaxial stub and a zener diode are connected in parallel with one another and with one leg of the pi network. The series combination of a diode and a resistor are connected in parallel with the other leg. Filtering is improved by inductive coupling between the diode-resistor circuit and the coil of the tuned circuit.
