  • Patent number: 8109635
Abstract: A system and method are presented for use in imaging the patient's retina. A light source unit is provided including a light emitting diode (LED) arrangement comprising multiple LEDs of different wavelength ranges. A light guide arrangement is used with the LEDs arrangement and is configured for coupling light from the LEDs and providing output light beams of a desired shape. The illuminating light is directed towards a region on the retina, and light returned from the illuminated region is collected and directed to an image detector unit. The invention enables the use of LED light at high intensity as required in the eye retina imaging, while maintaining the required high-quality imaging. Also, the invention provides for simultaneous or quasi-simultaneous as well as high-speed imaging in FA and ICG imaging procedures, thereby satisfying a long felt need in ophthalmology.

Date of Patent: February 7, 2012
    Assignee: Ophthalmic Imaging Systems
Inventors: Noam Allon, Israel Grossinger, Michael Golub, Moshe Bril

  • Patent number: 7392215
Abstract: A method of processing bids over a network for an item to be sold, using a time based factor for an encountered level of demand, the method comprising, setting a first threshold level at which to offer the item at a first time, setting a second threshold level at which to offer the item at a second time subsequent to the first time, receiving one or more bids over the network, upon receipt of a bid, calculating a bid time as a function of the first threshold level, the second threshold level, the bid, the first time and the second time, and accepting bids received on the basis of the calculated bid time.

  • Publication number: 20070299766
Abstract: A method of processing bids over a network for an item to be sold, using a cumulative quantity based factor, comprises, setting a first bid level at which to offer the item at an initial quantity, setting at least a second bid level at which to offer the item at a second quantity greater than the first quantity, receiving one or more bids over the network, upon receipt of a bid, calculating a cumulative quantity of items bid for and offering the items at a bid level corresponding to the cumulative quantity.

  • Publication number: 20040156081
Abstract: In a secure imaging system for securing documents or encrypting images, an image comprises an array of printed positions formed using a group of inks each having a predetermined spectrum. The positions are selected to form a predetermined image, either real or virtual, when the image is viewed through an optical processor. An image formed using inks having the same colors as experienced by the human eye, but not sharing exactly the same spectra, will fail to form the correct predetermined image.
