  • Patent number: 6960118
Abstract: Disclosed are a method of causing abrasive grains to collide against and contact with an object being treated to form surfaces of the object being treated into a matte, specifically, a rotational magnetic field is applied on magnetic abrasive grains to cause the same to vibratingly move at random to collide against and contact with an object being treated to obtain a matte.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: December 2, 2002
Date of Patent: November 1, 2005

  • Patent number: 4972569
Abstract: A method of rotating and transferring hollow cylindrical workpieces without causing the outer surfaces of such workpieces to come into contact with each other and a non-contact method of coating hollow cylindrical workpieces which are rotated and transferred, characterized in that flanges having bores in the central portions thereof are fitted over both end portions of each hollow cylindrical workpiece, a shaft being inserted through the bores in these flanges and supported horizontally together with the workpiece at each end on and rotated by a plurality of paired vertically movable rollers which are spaced by a distance not shorter than the length of the workpiece, a pusher for moving the workpiece being provided on a shaft, a coating mechanism being provided at an intermediate portion of the shaft in order to coat the workpiece with a material, a plurality of flanged workpieces being moved by the pusher toward a discharge end of the shaft and removed therefrom in order.

  • Patent number: 4680246
Abstract: A method for holding a hollow cylindrical body without a bottom without contacting the outside surface thereof and immersing the body in a liquid with which the outside surface of the cylindrical body is to be coated and preventing the liquid from contacting the inside wall of the cylindrical body. The method utilizes a device which includes device an inflatable elastic membrane which tightly contacts the inside wall of the cylindrical body so as to hold the body when it is inflated by supply of compressed fluid. The process for producing an electrophotographic element includes the steps of holding the hollow cylindrical body without a bottom, immersing the cylindrical body in a liquid containing a photosensitive material and separating the cylindrical body from the liquid to form a uniform photosensitive layer only on the outside surface thereof.

  • Patent number: 4299719
Abstract: A deoxidizer comprises ferrous carbonate having a specific surface area of at least 20 m.sup.2 /g. The ferrous carbonate can be combined with a mixture of a reduced iron powder and a metal halide; or an alkli metal hydroxide and/or an alkline earth metal hydroxide or calcium oxide and/or ettringite. The deoxidizer is used for the deoxidation of a package so as to substitute oxygen by carbon dioxide.
