    Abstract: A torque variation absorbing device includes a driving plate coupled to a driving shaft, a flywheel including a flywheel body and a driven plate arranged coaxially with the driving plate to be rotatably supported thereon and a spring mechanism. A damping and torque limiting mechanism and a hysteresis mechanism are interposed between the driving plate and the flywheel. The hysteresis mechanism includes a hysteresis plate which is fixed in the circumferential direction, a rubber member and a lining interposed between a distal end of the hysteresis plate and the flywheel and a spring urging the distal end of the hysteresis plate for pressing the lining onto the flywheel.

    Abstract: The torque variation absorbing device comprises a first flywheel, a second flywheel, a spring mechanism, a damping and torque limiting mechanism and a hysteresis mechanism. The hysteresis mechanism comprises a friction plate and a cone spring interposed between the first and second flywheels. The friction plate comprises a friction lining and a ring plate fastened to the friction lining. The ring plate has a connecting element to be connected with the first or second flywheel. A space is formed between the friction lining and the connecting element, and therefore, when the friction lining material is fastened, such as by hot-pressing or adhesive, to the ring plate, the space prevents friction lining material from flowing out before hardening and adhesive agent from spreading. In this arrangement of the device, when the friction force of the friction plate has worn the hysteresis mechanism is able to obtain a stable hysteresis.

    Abstract: An occupant's side holding device for the seat back of an automotive seat in which occupant's body side holders are rockably provided in the lateral direction of the seat back at both the right and left side of the seat back comprising operating shafts vertically provided at both the right side and left side, a threaded shaft rotatably journaled to the seat back frame and an interlocking rod being connected between the operating shafts for symmetrically operating the shafts. A rockable arm is further secured to one operating shaft and is integrally formed with the operating shaft to be rocked in the lateral direction of the seat back upon rotation of the threaded shaft by a handle operated by the occupant. Thus, the interval between the occupant's side holders can be variably adjusted in response to the occupant's favorite side holding state of the seat by turning the handle.
