  • Patent number: 6334782
Abstract: A protective wall 11 higher than conductive circuit patterns 10, 12, 13, 14 and 15 is formed so that it extends between adjacent patterns. Even if metal powder by fretting corrosion appears, the resist layer 11 prevents it from scattering and shorting the electrically isolated conductive circuit patterns. Thus, the printed-circuit board of the present invention is free from malfunctions of the electronic parts and damage thereto.

  • Patent number: 6276966
Abstract: A shield plate inhibits high frequency noise generated by a circuit board from interfering with the operation of a jack connector. The jack and shield are mounted on a circuit board and the shield is connected to the shield plate and a common terminal of the jack. The shield plate is elastic and contains magnetic powder with a high flux density to interrupt high frequency noise coming from a direction of a circuit board. When mounted to a device chassis, the shield is connected to the chassis through resilient arms. The chassis, shield, shield plate and common terminal of the jack are all connected together and to a common ground. This configuration reduces incident noise received by the jack, without the need to modify the jack or circuit to optimize noise resistance.

  • Patent number: 5263879
Abstract: A cigar lighter plug includes a slider therein slidable between first and second positions. At a first position of the slider, a contact spring is urged outward to a first radial position suitable for fitting the plug into a small size cigar lighter socket. At a second position of the slider, the contact spring is urged outward to a second radial position suitable for fitting the plug into a large size cigar lighter socket. In one embodiment, cooperation between a boss and depressions produces a click feel and sound to inform the user that an adjustment operation is completed. In another embodiment, a retention spring, generally similar to the contact spring, is moved to first and second radial positions during adjustment of the radial position of the contact spring.
