  • Patent number: 8955781
Abstract: An apparatus for fracturing in which: a fracturing tooth is formed so as to have a larger base part than a top end; a fixing cover is formed along a longitudinal direction of rolls and is provided with fixing holes for fracturing teeth arranged along the longitudinal direction, expanded parts which are formed by expanding both sides of the fixing holes, and an indented part which is formed by narrowing a part between the fixing holes with respect to the expanded parts; the base part of the fracturing tooth is held between the roll and the fixing cover fixed on the roll and the indented part and the expanded part of the adjacent fixing cover are engaged with each other in fracturing teeth unit, so that the fracturing teeth are arranged in a staggered manner.

  • Patent number: 8944353
Abstract: A method for producing fractured fragments of polycrystalline silicon having a fracturing process fracturing fragments of polycrystalline silicon between a pair of rolls which are rotated in a counter direction each other around parallel axes, in which: the rolls have a plurality of fracturing teeth protruding radially-outwardly from outer peripheral surfaces thereof; the fracturing teeth have spherical top surfaces and conical or cylindrical side surfaces; the fracturing process is performed in fracturing ratio of equal to or more than 1.0 to less than 1.5, and the fracturing ratio is specified by a maximum length of polycrystalline silicon before fracturing with respect to a facing distance between the top surfaces of the fracturing teeth at a facing part of the rolls.

  • Publication number: 20150003762
Abstract: A tilting pad bearing is provided that can reduce an amount of oil leaking from the side edges of a sliding surface of a pad, thereby reducing an amount of oil to be fed onto the sliding surface of the pad. The tilting pad bearing includes journal pads 2 arranged in a circumferential direction of a rotating shaft 1; and a bearing housing 4 for carrying the journal pads 2 in a tiltable manner via associated pivots 3. Lubricating oil is fed to a sliding surface 14 of the journal pad 2 via an oil-feeding hole 5 formed in the journal pad 2. The sliding surface 14 of the journal pad 2 has a portion formed so that the portion has an axial width that gradually increases, as the axial width approaches the circumferential downstream side of the rotating shaft, from an oil-feed start position.

  • Patent number: 4239710
Abstract: A device for checking random adjustment of the adjustable parts of a carburetor comprising a locked cover or covers mounted over the adjusting screw heads on the adjustable parts so that the cover or covers can not be removed without breaking it. Thus, the device is intended to inhibit the user or "layman" from improperly adjusting the adjustable parts of the carburetor. Provision of the cover or covers is also helpful in preventing the screws from becoming loose under vibration or other external forces.
