  • Publication number: 20160075329
Abstract: A parking assist system includes an electronic control unit. The electronic control unit is configured to: at the time of assisting in parking a vehicle to a parking area, determine a path from an initial position of the vehicle to a target position; generate a first circumference that passes through the initial position and that touches a traveling direction of the vehicle, as the path; determine a center position on the basis of a position of a rear corner of a parked vehicle ahead, a turning radius of the vehicle at a minimum turn and the target position; and generate a second circumference that has a center at the center position and that passes through the target position and touches both the traveling direction of the vehicle at the target position and the first circumference, as the path continuous with the first circumference.

  • Publication number: 20160075327
Abstract: A parking assist system includes an electronic control unit. The electronic control unit is configured to detect an obstacle. The electronic control unit is configured to determine a target position of a moving path of a vehicle. The electronic control unit is configured to determine the target position at a position at which the vehicle is spaced at least a predetermined distance from the obstacle higher than a first threshold and the vehicle overlaps with the obstacle lower than the first threshold.

  • Publication number: 20160075376
Abstract: A parking assist system includes an electronic control unit. The electronic control unit is configured to detect that a vehicle has moved through a switching position and reached a predetermined state during parking assist for the vehicle, and, when it is detected that the vehicle has reached the predetermined state, provide a notice that the vehicle has reached the predetermined state by imparting a predetermined vibration to a steering wheel of the vehicle.

  • Publication number: 20160078766
Abstract: A parking assist system includes an electronic control unit. The electronic control unit is configured to set at least one candidate position that is a candidate for a target position of a moving path of a vehicle on the basis of at least one of a detected obstacle or a detected parking boundary, rank each of the at least one candidate position on the basis of the candidate position and a position and orientation of the host vehicle, and determine one of the ranked at least one candidate position as the target position.

  • Patent number: 9222421
Abstract: An electronic control unit (1) stops output suppression control for an engine (6) at the time of simultaneous depression of an accelerator pedal (2) and a brake pedal (4) when the depression of the brake pedal (4) is erroneously detected due to an ON-failure of a stop lamp switch (5) even if the brake pedal is not depressed.

  • Patent number: 9108626
Abstract: When simultaneous depression of an accelerator pedal (2) and a brake pedal (4) is detected, an electronic control unit (1) inhibits a downshift of an automatic transmission (11) and performs output suppression control for an engine (6), thereby making it possible to suppress the increase of vehicle drive force caused by the downshift and maintain a constant vehicle deceleration rate by an easier operation.

  • Publication number: 20140136084
Abstract: A brake override system (BOS) (1) prioritizes braking when both an accelerator and a brake are operated simultaneously by reducing the required accelerator operation amount value that is used to control drive force so that it is lower than the actual accelerator operation amount. The BOS (1) thus achieves a balance between hill-start performance after operation by the BOS (1) is cancelled and stopping performance during operation of the BOS (1) by increasing the required accelerator operation amount value at the time at which the return of the required accelerator operation amount value to the actual accelerator operation amount is initiated when the simultaneous operation of the accelerator and the brake ends.

  • Publication number: 20140095045
Abstract: An electronic control unit performs a reduction control for reducing vehicle drive force when the accelerator and the brake are operated simultaneously. The electronic control unit also varies the amount of decrease in the vehicle drive force during the reduction control and conditions under which the reduction control is implemented depending on the order of the accelerator operation and brake operation resulting in the above-noted simultaneous operation. For example, the amount of decrease in the vehicle drive force is less when the brake is operated first in comparison with when the accelerator is operated first. Thus, it is possible to operate the vehicle drive force in accordance with the intention of the driver.
