    Abstract: A cloth holding frame is removably set on a frame driving mechanism in a printer including a print head. The cloth holding frame holding the cloth to be printed is detachably provided with the ink tray to receive a jet of ink from the print head by a flushing, and is moved to a flushing position based on a moving distance and, in association therewith, a type of the cloth holding frame set in the printer. Accordingly, the maintenance time for the flushing becomes shorter. The speed of the printing process is enhanced. The controlling operation of the frame driving mechanism to perform the flushing becomes simplified, and the printer can be downsized.
