Abstract: The present invention concerns a technique (method and a system) for use in servicing of electric vehicles at power replenishment service stations. The technique of the invention enables identification of a respective vehicle located at the power replenishment service station by carrying out the following: receiving and processing user request data from at least one power replenishment service station for identifying therein user data indicative of a user requesting power replenishment service, receiving and processing data from control systems of vehicles for identifying certain data including at least specific vehicle data, and processing the user data and the specific vehicle data and identifying the respective vehicle located at the power replenishment service station to thereby enable management of services to be provided to the respective vehicle.

Abstract: Methods and systems are presented for predicting demand for battery services in an electric vehicle network. The predicted demand may be used for managing the electric vehicle network, for example, by adjusting battery policies in order to provide improved battery services to users of electric vehicles. The battery policies can be adjusted by increasing or decreasing battery charging rates within the electric vehicle network, and recommending alternative battery service locations to users of vehicles who might otherwise choose a congested battery service location.

Abstract: An in-situ method and apparatus for monitoring wear of a dicing saw blade. The apparatus, which is mounted on a cooling block of the dicing saw, has a transmitter to emit a parallel beam of light onto a side surface of the dicing saw blade; a receiver for receiving the light that is un-obscured by the saw blade; and a processor coupled to the receiver for determining wear of the saw blade based on an output from the receiver. The apparatus may also display the wear rate of the saw blade, and/or an estimated time for replacement of the saw blade.
