  • Patent number: 9677739
Abstract: Provided is an optical diffuser apparatus, for use adjacent a light engine in a lighting fixture for producing desired color-mixed light output. The apparatus includes a first diffuser panel and a second diffuser panel connected to the first diffuser panel. The first diffuser panel and the second diffuser panel are configured and arranged so that, when the apparatus is positioned for operation within the fixture, light emitted by the light engine at greater than a pre-determined threshold angle with respect to a centerline of the engine will pass through both the first diffuser panel and the second diffuser panel, thereby mixing colors of the light toward the desired color-mixed light output.

  • Publication number: 20160076706
Abstract: An apparatus including a diffuser defining an enclosed area within an interior of the diffuser; a solid state light source, disposed within the interior of the diffuser, emitting light therefrom in a direction away from a horizontal plane containing the solid state light source; optics disposed within the interior of the diffuser adjacent to and above the solid state light source to reflect, utilizing total internal reflection (TIR) and refractive mechanisms, at least a portion of the light emitted from the solid state light source.

  • Patent number: 9279550
Abstract: An indirect linear luminaire that produces a batwing photometric distribution. The luminaire includes a rectangular housing having a substantially rectangular chamber defined by two opposed bifold wings and a bi-concave door extending therebetween. A linear light engine emits light upwards towards the bi-concave door and bifold wings and the light is reflected off of the bifold wings and bi-concave door in a batwing distribution.
