  • Patent number: 6053442
Abstract: A high-speed crushing apparatus comprising two cutting edges one of which is stationary-type and the other rotary-type, a crusher disposed downstream of the edges including a shaft facing the rotary-type cutting edge and a plurality of cutters attached rotatably in the rotation axis direction and slidably to the shaft, and a guide plate disposed therebetween. The guide plate delivers fragments before the cutters and they are cut at a cutting angle determined by the position of the end surface of the guide plates. The apparatus is used suitably for disposal of scrap woods of various sizes and hardness.

  • Patent number: 5236401
Abstract: A driving belt for stepless speed variation capable of smoothly traveling and accomplishing power transmission with high efficiency. The driving belt includes an endless metal strip consisting of a plurality of first metal strip elements and a second metal strip element formed into a length larger than the first metal strip elements, a plurality of blocks each provided at a center of an upper portion thereof with a groove through which the endless belt is fittedly inserted and having both side surfaces in a direction of advance of the driving belt curved, and a plurality of pins each arranged so as to extend across the groove of the block. The second metal strip element is formed into a corrugated shape, resulting in exhibiting elastic force and the both side surfaces each are formed so as to have a center of curvature defined at an intermediate position of a depth of the groove, so that the blocks adjacent to each other may abut against each other near the metal strip.

  • Patent number: 4858492
Abstract: An adjustable speed transmission according to the present invention comprises a variable speed pulley drive system and a multiple speed gear drive system. The pulley system and gear system are combined with a reversible gear system to provide a speed transmission system which is variable over two non-overlapping speed ranges while utilizing a conventional belt type speed pulley system.

  • Patent number: 4798567
Abstract: A power transmission belt having a flexible chain link midportion 11 defining a longitudinally continuous belt structure having opposite laterally outer side portions. Mounting elements 14,15 protrude from the side portion at spaced intervals longitudinally of the belt and side elements 16 are freely adjustably mounted one each to the protruding mounting element portions 15. The side elements define an outer surface for engaging the sidewall of a drive pulley V-groove. The invention further comprehends the provision of positioning elements 26 for retaining the side elements on the mounting elements, with the outer surfaces 17 of the side elements generally parallel to the V-groove sidewalls of the pulley for facilitating facial engagement of the side elements with the sidewall of the pulley groove when brought thereinto.

  • Patent number: 4740191
Abstract: An adjustable speed automatic transmission includes a variable speed pulley mechanism, a fixed speed ratio drive mechanism and a plurality of clutches in combination. The clutches are selectively engaged to control ouput speed in a low speed range by coupling the variable speed pulley mechanism and the fixed speed ratio drive mehcanism between an input and an output shaft. Alternatively, in a high speed range the clutches are selectively engaged to drive the output shaft directly from the input shaft.
