  • Publication number: 20230033695
Abstract: A bidirectional switch fault protection circuit includes a bidirectional switch circuit, a desaturation detection circuit, and a gate driver. The bidirectional switch circuit generates first and second switch voltages based on a direction of electric current. The desaturation detection circuit outputs the first switch voltage in response to the electric current flowing in a first direction and outputs the second switch voltage in response to the electric current flowing in a second direction opposite the first direction. The gate driver receives the first switch voltage in response to the electric current flowing in the first direction and the second switch voltage in response to the electric current flowing in the second direction. The gate driver detects a first short circuit condition based on the first switch voltage and a second short circuit condition based on the second switch voltage.

  • Publication number: 20230022957
Abstract: A system in a vehicle includes a current regulator to obtain current commands from a controller based on a torque input and provide voltage commands and an inverter to use the voltage commands from the current regulator and direct current (DC) supplied by a battery to provide alternating current (AC). The system also includes an electric traction motor to provide drive power to a transmission of the vehicle based on injection of the AC from the inverter. The current regulator adjusts parameters of a transfer function implemented by the current regulator, based on feedback of an input to and an output from the electric traction motor to achieve the AC corresponding with the torque input in no more than two control cycles.

  • Publication number: 20220062264
Abstract: Stroke patients with comorbidities, such as diabetes, hypertension, or other conditions associated with cardiovascular, pulmonary or renal disease do not respond well to current treatments for stroke. An inhibitor of S-nitrosoglutathione reductase (GSNOR) is administered as an adjunct therapy with remote ischemic conditioning (RIC) to treat a stroke in a subject having at least one comorbidity, such as diabetes and hypertension. When performed in conjunction with GRI therapy and RIC, intravenous tissue plasminogen activator therapy (IVT) for thrombolysis and/or endovascular thrombectomy (EVT) for clot retrieval are effective in subjects with comorbidities, even after five hours post-onset of stroke.

  • Patent number: 11001874
Abstract: Methods of detecting aneuploidy in in vitro fertilized embryos are provided. A unique set of STR markers that can be rapidly and accurately quantified by multiplex PCR at the single cell level are used to analyze and select euploid embryos in an in vitro fertilization (IVF) setting. The markers include D13S284, D13S141, D18S54, D18S70, D21S266, D21S1951 and AMXY and are used to detect abnormalities in chromosomes 13, 18, 21 and the XY chromosomes.

  • Publication number: 20200384614
Abstract: A multi-pronged tweezer is an apparatus that provides a variety of tips in order to effectively remove or position small items. The apparatus includes an elongated tweezing body, a first tip pair, a second tip pair, a third tip pair. The elongated tweezing body further includes a first tweezing arm, a second tweezing arm, a stabilizing tweezing arm, first tweezing end, and a second tweezing end. The first tweezing arm and the second tweezing arm position and orient the first tip pair, the second tip pair, and the third tip pair. The first tweezing arm and the second tweezing arm serve function as levers as the stabilizing tweezing arm transversally connects in between the first tweezing arm and the second tweezing arm. The first tip pair is slanted tip pair, the second tip pair is a straight tip pair, and the third tip pair is a pointed tip pair.

  • Patent number: 10299694
Abstract: The method of classifying raw EEG signals uses a classification method based on nuclear features extracted as dominant singular values from an EEG signal segment using singular value decomposition (SVD) and a class means-based minimum distance classifier (CMMDC) to classify a patient's EEG signals. From a mean EEG signal, a set of zero-centered EEG signals are calculated, and from the zero-centered EEG signals and a standard deviation of the EEG signals, a unit variance is calculated for each component. Using the standardized component signals a nuclear matrix is calculated, to which singular value decomposition is applied to generate a set of singular values. The CMMDC is applied to class means associated with first and second classes and a nuclear feature vector to classify the patient's EEG signals as belonging in either the first or second class.

  • Patent number: 9751194
Abstract: A dual ended tweezer a first lateral arm and a second lateral arm connected by a connecting arm. The connecting arm acts as a transversal between the first lateral arm and the second lateral arm, which are parallel, thus forming a ā€œZā€ shape. A first pinching tip pair is connected at a first end and a second pinching tip pair is connected at a second end to the lateral arms. The first and second pinching tip pair may be embodied as any of a variety of tweezer tip types, providing a number of different combinations of dual tweezer functionality.
