    Abstract: Embodiments of a wireless device, a network node, and methods of operation thereof for adapting a measurement reporting mapping for a measurement being or expected to be performed by the wireless device are disclosed. In some embodiments, a method performed by a wireless device in a wireless communication system comprises obtaining information indicative of whether a measurement being performed or expected to be performed by the wireless device on one or more signals is associated with a beamforming gain and determining a measurement report mapping based on the obtained information. The method further comprises using the determined measurement report mapping to transmit a measurement result to another node. In this manner, the measurement report mapping is adapted based on whether the measurement is associated with a beamforming gain.

    Abstract: Systems and methods relating to transmission and use of Discovery Reference Signal (DRS) signals are disclosed in herein. In some embodiments, a method of operation of a Transmission Point (TP) in a cellular communications network comprises transmitting, from the TP, a same one or more DRS signals using at least two different transmit beams in at least two different time resources. Each transmit beam is characterized by a direction in which it is transmitted. In this manner, the TP is enabled to reuse DRS resources, which in turn enables transmission of DRS signals on a larger number of transmit beams and, correspondingly, adaptation of measurement procedures at wireless devices to obtain measurements on those transmit beams.

The physical channel includes a first reference radio resource. A power control dynamic range scheme is determined, the determination includes: if the TTI is greater than the threshold, selecting a first power control dynamic range for the first physical channel; and if the TTI is less than the threshold, selecting a second power control dynamic range for the first physical channel, the second power control dynamic range being different from the first power control dynamic range. A power for the first reference radio resource in the first power control dynamic range is the same as a power for the first reference radio resource in the second power control dynamic range.

    Abstract: A first radio node, Node1, in a wireless communication network transmits a signal to a second radio node, Node2, under a constraint of spectrum flatness—meaning a maximum variation of power of the transmitted signal, within a transmission bandwidth. Spectrum flatness configurations may be determined by a network node and transmitted to Node1. Alternatively, Node1 may determine a spectrum flatness configuration and transmit it to a network node. In either case, Node1 adapts one or more coefficients of a transmission filter such that a transmission to Node2 will be in accordance with the obtained spectrum flatness configuration, and then transmits a signal to Node2 using the transmission filter with the adapted coefficients.

    Abstract: A method in a UE for adapting a measurement procedure is provided. The UE obtains information about signal configurations that indicate whether or not a Downlink Reference Signal (DL RS) transmitted in neighbor cells on a first carrier frequency of a first carrier uses a first signal configuration or a second signal configuration. The first signal configuration comprises the DL RS not being transmitted in every subframe of a cell and the second signal configuration comprises the DL RS being transmitted in every subframe of a cell. The UE receives a DL RS in a serving cell of the UE on the first carrier frequency that uses the second signal configuration. The UE adapts the measurement procedure based on the obtained information by adapting a measurement sampling or an instance when the UE shall obtain samples for one or more types of radio measurements.
