  • Patent number: 8872648
Abstract: A fire detector having a fire sensor device for detecting a fire and for outputting a fire signal. The fire detector also has an environmental sensor device for detecting bodies in the environment of the fire detector and for outputting an environmental signal. A control device sets a normal state and an alarm state of the fire detector on the basis of the fire signal, the fire detector additionally being in the form of a man-machine interface, and the control device checking whether the environmental signal can be deemed to be a user input.

  • Publication number: 20130162434
Abstract: Alarm installations in buildings or other environments are used to notify people of particular events, particularly hazards. By way of example, fire alarm installations usually have visual signal generators which, in the event of an alert, bring a hazard situation to the attention of people in a building by means of visual signals. In this case, the aim is to use the visual signals to prompt the people to leave the building via the escape routes. A signal apparatus (1) for an alarm installation (2) is proposed, having a signal generator (3) for outputting a notification signal (6) to the environment of the signal apparatus (1), having a control device (4) for actuating the signal generator (3), and having an activation interface (5) for receiving an activation signal for triggering and/or synchronizing the control apparatus (1), wherein the activation interface (5) is designed to receive a notification signal (6) from a different signal generator than the activation signal.

  • Patent number: 7758067
Abstract: A knee airbag is described which is located in front of a front seat (S) in the footwell, whereby this footwell is limited on a first side by the vehicle inner structure (F) and on the side lying opposite the first side is limited by a center console (M). When it is completely filled and free from external forces, this knee airbag (10) exhibits a certain maximum width (b) horizontally and perpendicularly to the longitudinal axis of the motor vehicle (f). In order to improve the safety of the vehicle occupants in case of a laterally-offset frontal collision, knee airbag (10) is arranged in the footwell in such a way that its maximum width (b) in inflated state is greater than the separation (a) between vehicle inner structure (F) and center console (M).
