  • Publication number: 20130238675
Abstract: According to one embodiment, an information processing apparatus applied to a client management system managing desktop environments of client terminals comprises a first controller and a second controller. The first controller controls creation processing for first image files which are disk image files for the desktop environments and contain no information unique to the client terminals and difference files for formation of second image files respectively containing information unique to the client terminals based on the first image files. The second controller controls deletion processing for the difference file for which the second image file is completely acquired by a corresponding client terminal.

  • Patent number: 8098131
Abstract: An information processing apparatus includes a first control unit configured to judge whether or not the information processing apparatus is in a state where a remote lock operation is impossible; an input unit configured to accept input of authentication information in case that the first control unit judges that the information processing apparatus is in a state where the remote lock operation is impossible; an authenticate unit configured to authenticate whether or not the input-accepted authentication information is coincident with previously stored authentication information; and a second control unit configured to prohibit a transmission/reception of data between the information processing apparatus and an information read device disposed adjacent to the information processing apparatus.

  • Publication number: 20060107031
Abstract: Screen display matched to the progress of execution of the initialization function in small and inexpensive devices such as a portable terminal is performed. Furthermore, reliability in the event of an error is improved without providing excessive redundancy and with limited capacity in a NAND flash memory storing programs. A first boot layer and a second boot layer of the same content are stored in the NAND flash memory. The boot layer free from errors is copied (C2) to a RAM (step S21), and a boot layer program is executed in the RAM (step S30). A simple logo and the like comprising characters is then displayed (first screen display) (step S32). Next, a system layer program is executed in the RAM (step S40). A screen (second screen display) is then displayed by switching between a plurality of images (step S44).

  • Patent number: 6208878
Abstract: A radio communication apparatus is disclosed, that comprises a receiving portion for receiving a radio signal transmitted from a base station, the radio signal including character codes, a display portion for displaying a character string corresponding to character codes received by the receiving portion on a plurality of lines, a detecting portion for detecting a particular character from the character string displayed on the display portion, and a display controlling portion for displaying a word just after the particular character at the beginning of the next line. According to the present radio communication apparatus , a word in a message composed of a character string is prevented from being displayed in a plurality of lines. Thus, a character string is displayed on the screen of the display portion in such a manner that the user can easily read the character string.

  • Patent number: 6108543
Abstract: A radio communication apparatus communicates with a base station in a home service area over a paging channel during a standby state for awaiting a call origination or a call reception. Responsive to the call origination or the call reception, the apparatus selects an access channel coincident with the paging channel and communicates with the base station over the access channel for the call origination or the call reception.

  • Patent number: 6006107
Abstract: A radio telecommunication apparatus stores one or more system identification numbers. When the apparatus receives a system identification number transmitted over a radio channel, the received system identification number is compared with each of one or more stored system identification numbers. When the received system identification number coincides with one of the stored system identification numbers, the apparatus is enabled to communicate with a base unit.

  • Patent number: 5257412
Abstract: The automobile telephone apparatus comprises the EEPROM, into which a telephone number MIN, and a system identification number SID of a geographical area corresponding thereto are written before shipment. A predetermined operation disabling code is stored in the EEPROM, and the apparatus is disabled while this code is stored therein. Each of the product apparatus is assigned with its own disabling code. When the assigned disabling code is input to the CPU from the keyboard, the CPU erase the disabling code stored in the EEPROM, enabling the apparatus to be used. A purchaser who buys this automobile telephone apparatus informs the service company of the serial number of the apparatus, along with his or her name and address. When the contract between the company and the user for registration has been completed, the user is informed of the operation disabling code of the purchased apparatus.
