  • Publication number: 20240149773
Abstract: Disclosed is a seat including: sensors which includes a first cushion sensor provided at a seat cushion in a position corresponding to buttocks of an occupant, a second cushion sensor provided at the seat cushion and located farther frontward than the first cushion sensor, a first back sensor provided at a seat back and located in a lower position thereof, and a second back sensor provided at the seat back and located above the first back sensor; and a controller connected to the sensors and thereby allowed to acquire pressure values from the respective sensors. The controller is configured to identify the motion of the occupant based on outputs of at least two sensors of the first cushion sensor, the second cushion sensor, the first back sensor, and the second back sensor.

  • Patent number: 4816158
Abstract: A method for treating waste water from a catalytic petroleum cracking unit is disclosed. The method includes receiving step, aeration step, settling step, and a discharging step. In the receiving step waste water from which hydrogen sulfide and ammonium have been stripped out is introduced into a biological treatment tank. In the aeration step, the waste water in the tank is subjected to aeration for a predetermined period of time. In the settling step, activated sludge within the biological treatment tank is settled for a predetermined period of time. And in the discharging step, the supernatant is discharged from the tank subsequent to the settling step. The total duration of the aeration step performed daily is set to no longer than 12 hours and the aeration step is performed intermittently. If these conditions are met, yeasts which form pseudohyphae will grow actively enough to facilitate settling and separation of activated sludge.

  • Patent number: 4165281
Abstract: A method and a unit for wastewater treatment with microorganisms, in which at least one non-woven fibrous mat having a three-dimensional network structure is disposed as a supporting media in an aeration tank, microorganisms are retained on the surface of and in the interstices of the non-woven fibrous mat, and organic polluting matter in the wastewater is oxidatively decomposed by the microorganisms in the presence of oxygen.

  • Patent number: 3992260
Abstract: In a method for producing sucrose from beets or beet molasses by the deionization process using ion-exchange resins or the saccharate process or in a method for producing sucrose from beets without resorting to either of the two processes mentioned above, .alpha.-galactosidase is allowed to act upon the sugar solution, while in process, so as to hydrolyze the raffinose contained therein into sucrose and galactose. The raffinose-hydrolyzed sugar solution is returned to the process following the stage at which the sugar solution is withdrawn. Thereafter, the sugar solution is treated in the fixed sequence to effect the recovery of sucrose contained in the sugar solution.
