  • Patent number: 7271895
Abstract: Sensor for use in highly sensitive analytical devices for qualitative and quantitative analysis of natural waters and technology-related solutions, containing low concentrations of components determined. Design of a sensor provides for simplification and costs reduction of its manufacture, widening range of solutions analyzed, improvement of their kinetic characteristics and increase in analysis sensitivity. Sensor has multichannel structure in a form of a piece 1 of a polycapillary tube with through capillaries forming microchannels filled up with two layers of immiscible substances. One layer (4) is formed of water or aqueous solution, and another layer (3) is formed of organic substance. The first of the layers in microchannels contains sorbent microgranules 5.

  • Patent number: 7149279
Abstract: Detecting unit comprises position-sensitive detector 1 and collimating system 2, situated in front of its window 19. Collimating system being made in the form of honeycomb structure comprising multitude of tubular channels for transmittance of diffracted X-ray radiation. Walls of adjacent tubular channels are fused together. Outlet ends of the channels, forming outlet end face 22 of the collimating system, are oriented towards window 19 of the position-sensitive detector. Outlets of the channels in outlet end face of the collimating system 2 are arranged in several rows along window 19 of the position-sensitive detector 1. Walls of the tubular channels are formed from material absorbing X-ray radiation. Collimating system 2 is installed with possibility of adjusting its position relative to the window 19 alignment of the position-sensitive detector. • Patent number: 7118671
Abstract: Polycapillary chromatographic column contains a set of parallel channels isolated from each other, walls of the channels on the inside are covered with sorbent, and are joined with walls of adjacent channels on the outside by fusing. Feature of a column is that it is produced as set of modules of a various level, thus the module of the lowest level represents hexagonally packed and having in cross-section shape of a correct hexagon set of the channels which are produced by joint drawing of a bundle of monocapillaries in the softened condition. The module of each higher level represents hexagonally packed and having in cross-section shape of a correct hexagon set of modules of the previous level, growing out by their joint drawing in the softened condition.

  • Patent number: 7116753
Abstract: Action on the tested wafer 1 is rendered with X-ray beam 3 converging in a point located inside the wafer or under it. Determination of relative position of the interference maxima is performed for diffraction reflections from crystallographic planes having the form of {nKK}, where n is equal to H, K or L and differs for distinct crystallographic planes. Means 11 for beam shaping creates beam 3 simultaneously acting on multiple crystallographic planes. Detectors 13 receive diffracted radiation in the whole angular range containing the interference maxima corresponding to the reflections from the irradiated planes.

  • Publication number: 20050245819
Abstract: During the first stage of the radiotherapy method, the location of a malignant neoplasm identified in the course of previous diagnostics, is determined, for which purpose the part (7) of the patient (5), including the said neoplasm, is scanned. Scanning is carried out by moving the radiation concentration zone (4) produced by crossing of several X-ray beams. Tissues density information is obtained with the help of the detectors (6), which the secondary radiation excited in the radiation concentration zone (4) is transported to. During the second stage, scanning is carried out using the same means as during the first stage, moving the concentration zone within the malignant neoplasm borders, determined during the first stage. In this instance, the X-ray sources (1), with the help of the control means (9) are reset to the increased intensity mode of operation, the intensity being sufficient for radiation damage of the the malignant neoplasm tissues.

  • Publication number: 20050041777
Abstract: The inventions are directed to increasing of control reliability and providing of express test, thus creating possibility of total control of single-crystal wafers at different stages of manufacturing process. The method is based on the wafer tested being acted upon with X-ray beam, registration of interference pattern of diffraction and determination of relative position of interference maxima used to judge the presence of elastic strains. Method's feature lies in the wafer 1 being acted upon with X-ray radiation beam 3 converging in a point located inside the wafer at below it, and in determination of relative position of the interference maxima being performed for diffraction reflections from crystallographic planes having the form of nKK, where n is equal to H, K or L and differs for distinct crystallographic planes.

  • Publication number: 20050031078
Abstract: Inventions related to the intra-vision means, designed for production of visually sensed images of the internal structure of an object, in particular, of a biological object, are aimed at higher accuracy of determining the relative density indices of the object's substance in the obtained image together with avoiding complex and expensive engineering; when used for diagnostic purposes in medicine, the dosage of tissues surrounding those that are examined is decreased. X-rays from source 1 is concentrated (for example, using X-ray lens 2) in the zone that includes the current point 4, to which the measurement results are attributed and which is located within the target area 7 of the object 5. Excited in this zone secondary scattered radiation (Compton, fluorescent) is transported (for example, using X-ray lens 3) to one or more detectors 6.

  • Patent number: 5192869
Abstract: A device for controlling beams of particles, X-rays and gamma rays including a plurality of channels with total external reflection inner surfaces, input butt-ends facing a radiation source and output butt-ends aimed at a radiation receiver is taught. Channel-forming elements are in the form of surfaces, tubes, and structures with multiple channels and are rigidly positioned one relative to another with a spacing between supports such that the sagging of the channel-forming elements does not interfere with beam propagation. The device can be used to capture radiation from sources which produce parallel or divergent radiation. The resulting beam or beams can be of a variety of shapes or angular orientations including quasi-parallel, convergent, and split beams.
