  • Publication number: 20190306248
Abstract: Techniques are disclosed relating to performing session verification for a session between a client computer system and a server computer system. In some embodiments, a server computer system may perform session verification by initially performing a first session verification operation followed by iterations of a second session verification operation. In some embodiments, a given iteration of the iterations of the second verification operation may include receiving, from the client computer system, client authentication information that includes first and second authentication values. Further, in some embodiments, a given iteration may include determining a server authentication value that is based on the first authentication value and authentication information previously received from the client computer system during session verification.

  • Patent number: 8537716
Abstract: According to one embodiment of the invention, a method for synchronizing access points in a wireless network includes determining a service set identifier of a selected access point in the wireless network. The service set identifier identifies a name of a wireless connection. The method also includes determining an virtual local area network corresponding to the determined service set identifier. The virtual local area network is located in an extended service set. The extended service set includes a group of basic service sets. The method further includes identifying one or more access points located in the virtual local area network. The method further includes configuring the identified one or more access points to match a plurality of service parameters of the selected access point.

  • Patent number: 8417257
Abstract: According to one embodiment of the invention, a method for load balancing traffic in a wireless network includes identifying a respective operational parameter from wireless network devices in the wireless network. The respective operational parameter indicates a number of endpoint associations for the wireless network devices. The method also includes detecting a wireless network device with a particular number of endpoint associations by examining each of the respective operational parameters. The method further includes, in response to the detected wireless network device, configuring the wireless network device to limit the number of endpoint associations to a number less than the particular number.

  • Publication number: 20070109983
Abstract: According to one embodiment of the invention, a method for managing access to a wireless network includes defining access criteria for a plurality of endpoint devices in the wireless network. The access criteria includes a group of access policies controlling access to specific access points in the wireless network. The group of access policies are associated with respective access points and an identifier associated with a user. The method further includes configuring at least one endpoint device of the group of endpoint devices in the wireless network with the access criteria.
