  • Patent number: 7472515
Abstract: A cable tensioner for a vehicle window regulator includes a screw and nut assembly with an irreversible thread lead angle, a first spring designed to actuate the screw and nut assembly when there is slack in a cable and a second spring designed to block the screw and nut assembly when there is excessive tension in the cable. The cable tensioner ensures that compensation for the elongation of the cable is irreversible.

  • Patent number: 7325360
Abstract: A cable tensioner includes two members, such as a pipe and a tube, that define a cable path. The members are helically mobile relative to each other. A retractable detent permits the relative movement of the members in one direction and prevents the relative movement of the members in another direction. The cable tensioner is thus irreversible, regardless of the operating conditions. The cable tensioner is, for example, applicable to a cable used in a vehicle window regulator. The window regulator cable extends in a protective sheath. One end of the protective sheath abuts against the second member, and the second member acts on the end of the protective sheath to increase the cable path and cable tension.

  • Publication number: 20070217932
Abstract: A cassette for use in a peristaltic pump is provided. The cassette includes a cassette frame, a cam, a cam position selector switch, and a biasing member. The cassette frame mounts to the peristaltic pump. The biasing member mounts to the cam and to the cassette frame and operably couples with the cam position selector switch. Moving the cam position selector switch in a first direction releases the cam position selector switch from the cassette frame. Moving the cam position selector switch in a second direction after releasing the cam position selector switch from the cassette frame adjusts a position of the cam relative to the cassette frame. The second direction is approximately perpendicular to the first direction.

  • Publication number: 20070212240
Abstract: A peristaltic pump is provided which includes a removable cassette that can be mounted to the peristaltic pump using a single hand of a user. The peristaltic pump includes, a pump frame, a plurality of rollers configured to mount to the pump frame, an actuator operably coupled to move the plurality of rollers, and the removable cassette The cassette includes a cassette frame and a cam positioned to compress a tube against the plurality of rollers. The cassette is mountable to the pump frame by applying pressure in a first direction to the cassette frame and is dismountable from the pump frame by applying pressure in the first direction to the cassette frame. In an exemplary embodiment, a pin mounts to the pump frame and the cassette frame includes a ramp configured to receive the pin so that the pin is held in a seat of the ramp.

  • Patent number: 6810623
Abstract: A carrier member for a vehicle window winding mechanism includes a passage for a rail along which the carrier member slides, and at least one tab or tongue that applies a force to the rail in a direction perpendicular to the direction of sliding of the carrier member and parallel to the plane of a window glass. The carrier member avoids problems of noise or undesirable forces originating from faulty alignment or assembly of the rail.
