    Abstract: The invention relates to an end tool for a surgical instrument, comprising a tool-holder support (1) made from a rigid material including a flat face (2) or base layer adapted to support a tool, and a surgical tool (11) formed by a stack of elementary layers adapted to be firmly joined to one another so as to form a functional tool unit that can be positioned on and firmly joined to the base layer (2) of the tool-holder support. The surgical tool includes at least one electronic layer (20) which is made using electronics and microelectronics technology and incorporates integrated connections to an electronic and/or light and/or fluid power source, and at least one electronic component (21, 22, 23) for measuring and/or actuating and/or supplying power, and an upper functional layer (33) having a form which is designed to ensure the operation of the tool.
